    Thanks for the videos Rob, I’ve got a Savage 110 precision so your 6.5 stuff is great yo watch for ideas! I’m suggesting you try the Lapua 136g Scenar w/ H4350. Would love to see what you get in a ladder test. I found 41.3g shoot pretty well. Also, what combo have you validated in your 6.5 that shoots the best?

    I’ve been loading some 6.5 Creedmoor with srp brass and have been getting low average velocities even at max load. Peterson Brass SRP CCI BR4 140gr SMK Accurate 4350 (41.8gr) Averaging 2205fps Have you encountered similar results?

    What was case fill like? I was told neck tension can cause groups like that. I am surprised at That burn rate being used in the Creedmoor. Seems a bit fast but it's working.

    Case fill is probably 85-90 percent. Burn rate is a bit quick. That's why we chose the 123gr pill.

    Good stuff man. I really enjoyed your videos. Your 6.5CM vidoes really helped with my mine. Working on my .308win so far I have found success with Accurate 2495. Would u do some videos with .308win? Best part about your videos is that you are using the mdt xrs FDE,same as mine.savage 110

    Yes, both of my savage rifles will not reliably eject. For what I use them for it really doesn't bother me that much. It has continued to get worse however as the rifles age.

    There are some aftermarket ejectors that improve the ejection of the Savages, I have the same problems. Good video. It seemed to me that you were shooting rapidly, could this be a reason for the "disappointing" groups or did your appearance to be shooting rapidly the result of the editing. Best regards.

    @@RobsReloading The Social Regressive has a video showing the replacement of a Savage ejector spring. He believes his spring was annealed by pierced primer blowback. Maybe the spring wasn't all that good from the start. Replacing the spring, in combination with grinding that 45° angle on the ejector pin would likely have your rifles feeding and ejecting better than ever.

    I've asked why you use SD instead of ES before for load development, especially initial laod development. This would be a good example of when looking at the ES would be advantageous to SD. All your SD's are so close. ES will help separate the data. Three shots are an insignificant amount of shots for SD to tell you anything. Like I said before, one example of why is that you can have an SD of 11 and an ES 20 or the ES could be 30. In situations like this, which are very common, i don't know how SD is used to figure out what loads are best. If you can, go back and look at your Lab Radar to see what I'm talking about. If you go listen to hornady's #50 or maybe #51, they even mention this. I don't mean to be critical or anything. Im trying to help, is all. Which will help your other viewers. If you have the data on your lab radar from this video still, maybe you could make a video on how the ES's vary considerably more than SD's can. Anyway, thanks for the video, I always enjoy watching them, especially with these long, cold winters.

  • @RobsReloading

    In this situation in my opinion sd and es is not really all that relevant due to limited sample size. When completing a full load work up I usually will look at both es and sd. This initial video with 6 creedmoor is to get an idea of velocity and potentially accuracy of this combination. Thanks for the view and comment!

    @Rob's Reloading I don't mean this reply to be rude, but hopefully, it's inlightening for someone who is fairly new to loading for precision. With that said, regardless, ES tells you much more than the SD does. Even more so in this situation, that is what my point is. In reality, data is never irrelevant. Opinions aren't always correct either, especially when it pertains to data. The validity of data isn't determined by opinions. Data is factual. Your opinion may require a little evaluation and personal reflection.

  • @reloadingfun

    @reloadingfun

    @Rob's Reloading i think the correct thing to say actually is, determining the validity of data is more factual based than opinion based, so it's not really an opinion thing, but more so a conclusion. People can definitely come to the wrong conclusion.

    Quit messing with the mag and single load that thing!!!. Those groups look horrible for a 6.5 creedmoor. Do you have a front rest or bi-pod? I'd suggest you use either one, for more stability and better groups. You don't say how far off the lands you are running those scenars. I'd focus more on shooting good and less on the numbers.
