6.0 powerstroke redhead steering box and psc ram assist steering
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Installing psc hydro assist steering on my 2005 Powerstroke 6.0 f250. I recently installed the big bore redhead steering box and that still wasn't enough for me to be able to turn my 40x15.50x20 inch tires. Installing the ram made a world of difference!

This dude needs more views. Needs more money coming in from these videos. They aren’t explained to every single detail but they’re damn close enough to get the job done.
Thanks for making this video. I got an Excursion that I’ve been looking to upgrade. Cheers mate.
Regardless of how the video turned out I think you did a great job
Thank you for making this video .
Great video and awesome truck. Thanks to you I know how to fix the same problem in my truck.
All good stuff man! All stuff I want to do to mine!

Thanks for watching!
Very nice!
how are you liking it? any drawbacks?
What size lift is that? I have my truck up on an 8inch and after watching your video am ordering the red steering gear and psc ram. I am on 38's now but want to go to 42's.
Great video! Where did you get the bracket that you mounted to the pumpkin?

PSC sells that bracket along with all the other parts. It's a pretty simple install. Just attaches to a few bolts on that pumpkin and then gets secured around the axle with a u-bolt
Can you share the kits part #'s. I have a 250. And I'd like to add this system to my truck
Dammmmmmmmm I need this 😍 how much was the gear box with ports and hydro assist

Are you running the stock power steering pump or did you upgrade to an Edelmann?

Good question, 06 F250 and still figuring out if I need more room for this extra fluid
Hey, what stereo you got in there??? The Ford pops up on the screen!

It's one of the pioneer double dins. You're able to load custom pictures in for your startup screen. It's a nice touch. I'm pretty sure you can do that with a lot of the newer stereos with the screens. Mine is about 7 years old now lol
Did the larger bore help at all? Or was it the same? Thinking about buying it…thank you sir.

The larger bore steering box made enough of a difference to be worth the cost. It's much beefier and you can tell it will last longer. With my 40x15.50s, it still needed the help of ram assist. With smaller narrower tires, it may be able to handle the job alone.

@@maadtrukz2861 thank you very much for the response! I am pushing 37/13.5 with the regular red head but I didn’t know they had larger until I seen your video as I bought mine years ago. Thanks again…I will order it!

@@Daniel-1-1-1 happy to help. I had the regular red head first as well. It held up better than stock, but no dice for the long term. You should be good with the big bore on 37s.

@ maadtrukz, did you document the install of the psc reservoir in the engine bay? Thanks

Why would you type out his entire username? Use the reply button feature it’s WAY easier and it actually notifys the person you’re talking to. 👍
What do you think after having it on the truck for a few months??

I love it. Still working great. Only minor issue is leaking at the ram-side fittings. I'm going to redo those when I get a chance. Doesn't leak a lot, just more of an annoyance.
Can you please post links to the parts.

I got these parts a while ago. I'll try to find the parts I used and post the links.

The links are posted now. Looks like they no longer have the nickel cylinder that I used, but I put a link to the regular cylinder with the same specs.
Never mind I found it lol
