I faced my igcse maths paper and the series of questions really helped out ty sir for all the support
i have a question regarding question 4. Why i=did we substitute t in the velocity equation and not the speed equation?
@AdmireR6S

s = distance / displacement, not speed. it goes s = distance, v = velocity, a = acceleration. I understand how you may be misunderstood into thinking s = speed, but S is distance/displacement
great video, but why do u raise the final answer to a negative power for example 36ms-2?

That’s the units. I’m not raising the answer to the power. Velocity is ms^-1 Acceleration is ms^-2 But don’t worry about that, you won’t be accessed on units.

m/s^2 is the unit for acceleration as 1/s^2 can be written as s^-2 36m/s^2 is written ad 36ms^-2
i was wondering on question 4 of the video, you have to find the minimum speed of p, would you do the same process to find a maximum speed of something.

Yes, cuz while we differentiate and set it to 0 that is where the turning points are there, and we can find the maximum or minimum point at the turning points. And there might be a confusion whether u are getting minimum point or maximum point. if a quadratic equation is differentiated and the turning point is found... the co efficient of x^2 term is looked at, if it is positive then the turning point is minimum if negative then it is maximum point. If 0 it is linear graph 😂(sorry if my random joke bothered you). If a cubic equation is differentiated then then 2 values would be obtained so the bigger value is maximum and the smaller one is minimum. No need to rely on the co efficient of x^3

@manishff5116 thank you 👍
for question 19 at 7:40 do i still get the marks if you use the quadratic formula instead of factorising the way you do it? i still got the same answer

As long as you show your working it’s fine. Make sure you write out the quad formula and show you’ve substituted the numbers in correct
hello is it possible u make a video of u solving may june 2024 1h ?? i have the pdf and everything i can send it to u
