Scott makes recoil management look like no big deal. But we forget he’s a monster of a dude who can bench 425lbs. If you look at the original video of normal people firing this thing from 10 or so years ago you can see it fly out of their hands in the opposite direction with enough force to crack the bulletproof glass behind them. Respect Scott.
I'm relieved to hear the stock was repaired and should be safe now. Everyone who caught that, I applaud all of you.

I'd like to see how many layers of body armor it can punch through. Also, maybe line up several bowling balls and brace them with some wood on either side to see how many bowling balls it will punch through. Also giant cans of sauce, but freeze the cans so that they become hard blocks of frozen sauce. I don't know what mayo and mustard are like when frozen, but I want to see.
As an amateur gun collector/ range enthusiast it’s always awesome to have these videos where he breaks down how the firearm works and has a little comedy mixed in safely. I’m glad to have found this channel and subbed months ago.
Scott, you added one more thing for me to be grateful for this Thanksgiving: you took our warnings about the crack seriously and had it looked over by someone with the skills to accurately assess and repair the damage. You are loved by your fans, and we always want you to be safe. Happy holidays, bud.
The 577 T-Rex will never disappoint.
I am not surprised by this… a friend of mine is a National park ranger in Africa, his weapon of choice is a 450 Rigby and he has twice had to use it on elephant, the most impressive thing was that the bullet was found about half an inch from the tail of an elephant bull after penetrating all of the rest of the bull from a full frontal head shot! I totally would love to pull the trigger on the 577 Trex as I have gone all the way up to 505 Gibbs but still waiting for the Trex…. Maybe someday

I think your .577 vs . Ballistic dummy was fascinating . Damn near scientific . The head shot in slow mo was intense. So I thought why not stack like five dummies back to back and do a double take on damage results from the dino vaporizer ripping through dummies. See how many the .577 can get through and how many heads it can liquify with one shot in slow mo .
Gorgeous rifle. I love the sanded in stock with the ebony end cap. Simple, but expertly done.

I truly believe if they found a way to shoulder fire a 5 inch deck gun Scott would be the first to fire it
The penetration from that thing looks wicked! With the velocity of that thing, there isn't much to compare it to. Maybe 50cal or 338 Lapua? I'd be curious to see what it does, bullet performance, when it actually hits tough skin, heavy muscle and hard bone. Something similar in size to the dangerous game it's meant for. Maybe compare to the other "dangerous game" rounds along with the other 2 calibers I mentioned above. I know there are many between the 375 H&H Magnum and the 700 Nitro Express. 338 Lapua is a little smaller, bullet wise, than the 375 but I'd still enjoy seeing it's performance against the other calibers. Maybe from like 20-50 yards instead of virtually point blank. As usual, great video Scott!
Scott is the king of big bore rifles. What a round. That first ballistic gel had stupid amounts of energy go through it. Unbelievable 🤯
You might need to get a custom gel block made just so you can manage to catch one of those bullets. Maybe they can make something with higher viscosity.
