I did a 5,600 mile road trip but in 2 weeks.....and I was exhausted. U guys deserve every bit of this record. It means more to me than any of the other Cannonball records.

The picture of the audi disguised as a taurus police car makes me laugh every time😂

I love the channel and every single video you guys put out. I bought the "speed limit 175" sign when you guys posted that for sale and I love it. That being said, I know it took alot of coordination to get everyone to autograph this sign, but $400? I could justify the first one as expensive home decor, but I cant manage to justify purchasing this one :(

Love to hear of someone doing an old school Cannonball Run. No radar detectors or fancy electronics, no mods to the fuel system, no smart phones or GPS, no spotters or blockers just someone willing to risk it naked as a jay bird. CB's are a given though.

Even back in the day people used fuel cells, CBs and detectors

Chris was actually my neighbor a few years back in Mass. Got to see the SL500 and his other cars in person and he even helped me work on my own car. One of the nicest and most dedicated to his craft guys you will ever meet. Congrats on the record Chris!

There’s this weird sort of surreality that occurs when you’re on road trips. You’re driving at some point and you’re somewhere in the middle of your timeline and you realize that you forgot that you started driving that morning, three hundred miles away or so. I’ve had that really weird realization on road trips where I didn’t even leave the time zone, I couldn’t imagine that on even a single-leg cannonball. Not to mention the absolute oddities of being caught in a pack of street racers, racing a Jeep through New York, or getting down to a single lane on the GW. Absolutely bizarre.

I saw the title and just pictured Big Ennus from Smokey and the Bandit standing in the Portofino parking lot saying "You run up to New England for some Clam Chowder....double or nothin?" East bound and down🎵🎶 LOL!

I passed that White decoy Police interceptor September 6th of 2020 on i39 north between la Salle Peru and Rochelle. I knew something was going on. I even took a few photos. Figured they were spotting

The last time I was this early, Randy Pobst hadn't crashed at Pikes Peak yet.

I crewed at Race Across America for Bicycling , so slow and steady but most of the same possible issues, Sleep when You are Told , so glad I went because it led to the World Champion Jersey on display at home !!

As a former law enforcement officer I can usually see something many might miss in these stories but for the life of me I can’t figure out why the cops would instant on you, pull out and follow you but not pull you over. Once ok but more than a few times. The only thing I can come up with is you had a device that kept the officers radar from an accurate reading but it was obvious you were speeding they pulled out hoping to pace you fast enough for a decent ticket. I have heard of some devices where it can force the radar to read a set value, am I close? Congrats!

Its a reference used when we are driving and the radar just goes full alert. In this case the Trooper was coming the other way and wasnt sitting anywhere.

Great story. I'm sure it'll inspire some guys to try it. And then we'll get more stories.

The 600 forces you to refill more often but the hydraulic suspension should give you so much more comfort to ride along ..

Good luck. 2 years out from driving, an ev run is going to be a lot easier once the roadster is out.

Are there any "along the coast" records? Like running along the East Coast, North to South or vice versa?

The C140 would be much more comfortable to do this - it’s super cozy 4 full seater with miles of legroom anywhere…. The R129 is a tight 2 seat convertible and was overloaded with equipment hardly fitting on some behind the front seat area with not much space. Trying to sleep in there is pure torture.. chapeau
