The modified loop start always comes undone for me. That lasso start is a game changer!!!!!

Love the stitching lesson on starting and stopping stitches. It was very clear to understand and I like that there are so many options. Thanks you ever so much.💕

Thank you for this video. I have watched your video on starting over two and you demonstrated the going down, holding the tail coming up in opposite corner and then going down in the original hole. Love this and now this is the only way i start with a modified pin stitch. Glad to know it will work over one. Thanks again and please keep the videos coming.

The second and third ones I do and they work great on 32ct 1x1. and is what I commented on in a more recent stitch with me live that you did In Dec.2022. Love the videos

You do a great job as a teaching tutorial. Thanks for posting this video. I’ve watched it several times and am practicing. I’m not quite as patient and calm as you, but I’ll keep in tryin’!

Another excellent video, Karen! I like the second technique you showed the best for starting threads (the little line over top of stitch) but that’s just me! Back to see how you end them. 😊

Will the first method work with three threads ? As the pattern l am using requires 3 threads 2 of one colour 1 of another colour .

i’ve seen a lot people ending threads in front but nit using pin stitch. they bring down through front rows down and stitch over later when get to that row ???

Hi Karen, on the underline stitch: did you have the issue at the outer edge of your diagonal? I found that if I use this right at the edge and with the next diagonal go over it one egde of the stitch came undone. However if I kept it in the row and stitch over it right away it works fine. I tend to now do it more inside the diagonal and right at the edge I do a pin stitch or an away thread if it is the end of the diagonal. Happy Stitching, Dunja

Karen, excellent video, thank you once again!! There is one technique which I tried recently after reading about it in a comment from Debbie Turner who was addressing Gerda Elbert in a posted question On For the Love of Diagonal Stitching from Kevin Tobar. I think the technique was a modification of the technique shown by Milesy on Flosstube. Debbie describes it as follows, “...I make my crosses from bottom left to top right and then from bottom right to top left. So, if I numbered the square as 1-top left, 2- top right, 3- bottom left, and 4- bottom right, here goes. I go down from the front in 1 top left and leave a tail. Come up in 2 top right make my loop and go back down in 2 again. The I come up in 3 bottom left and put it thru the loop from 2. Pull it through and go down in 2 again. Now I have the half cross. Now I come up in 4 bottom right and go down in 1 top left to finish my cross. Then at this point I can cut the tail that is still hanging out if 1 and carry on stitching. I hope that makes sense. She should get all the credit, I just added the go down in the front to her method.” I love this method and now use it exclusively on my 25-count full coverage projects. I know, like me, you like to “try all the things,” so thought you might want to give this method a try and perhaps add it to your very excellent video on starts.
