    You are not running your 190kv board at it's full potential... Your ESC hardly outputs 15A per motor MAX . Whereas your motor is rated for minimum of 20 - 25 A ... So technically your power output is just 36v * 30A = 1080 Watts... Pretty less : ( That's why I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TO USE A VESC , WHICH CAN EASILY output 40 - 50 A per motor !! That power is INSANE 😵😵 Also make sure your battery can deliver that power... If not you can use burst of a few seconds to squezze more power out of your battery for a second , by then you would already be faster than a bullet train 🤣🤣🤣

    It’s hard to believe that a 2400 watt dual can’t beat a 1500 watt dual GTX. I have an Evolve Carbon GT and modified its motors to 1650 watts/200KV and its pretty fast and I love the torque of it. I have a 6374 watt/190KV I’m about to put into a DIY board. I hope it pulls harder than my Carbon GT. Anyways, I enjoy your videos. They’re all very educational. Keep up the good work dude

    Did you make sure the battery is able to output the currant needed for the larger motors without constraint?

  • @KAMiJUINs

    @KAMiJUINs

    2 жыл бұрын

    There was no need to confirm. This is because the ESC output was less than the current value available in the motor. I know what you mean. I also don't think the design of this experiment is perfect. The biggest cause is the difference in maximum power consumption because the sizes of the two motors are different. But in this video, I want you to understand it as a video that explains the correlation between the motor's KV number, torque, and maximum speed. Thanks.

  • @KAMiJUINs

    @KAMiJUINs

    Well... it depends on the situation. If you want more torque on the hillside than the top speed of the board, I can recommend it, and if you want better overall performance, you should replace the ESC and the battery. In this video, I just wanted to explain the difference between KV values and different motors when they're in the same condition. (high KV = top speed, low KV = high torque)

    Is there any downside to having more teeth on both the motor and wheel pulley? For example, an 18t 44t setup should have the same torque and top speed as a 15t 36t setup just with more teeth engaged, is there any downside? I'm looking at using these same Flipsky motors. I would like to be able swap out motor pulleys depending on whether I want speed or torque. I'm thinking that a 40t wheel pulley with a 16t and 18t motor pulley would work. What do you think?

  • @KAMiJUINs

    @KAMiJUINs

    5 жыл бұрын

    Thank you for watching :) If the gear ratio is the same, neither speed nor torque will change. However, DIY has many variables. Growing pulleys can cause interference with the wheels and make it difficult to find the correct length of motor mounts and belts. Make sure to check it before making it.

  • @KAMiJUINs

    It depends on the weight of the rider. I am 65 kilograms, and I feel a little weak in early acceleration. But even the same 270 Kv motor would not weak of power if it was bigger than 50 diameters of the motor.

    One more thing to point - how much amp your ESC can can pump into motor - these motors are able to handle 100A maybe more for a short time. Your ESC looks like one from aliexpress which can deiver 20A at the best. Again these motors are very powerful they should be able to burn tires and accelereate yours 65 kilos in no time.

Number of wheel pulley teeth: many - increased torque, less - increased max speed Wheel diameter: Large - Max speed increase, Small - Torque increase Motor KV number: high - high rotation (max speed increase), low - low rotation (torque increase) Motor KV x Battery Voltage = Rotation per minute of the motor. • @KAMiJUINs

    This video describes the correlation between torque and top speed according to motor Kv numbers. GTX has 150Kv number of motor, the maximum torque is higher than 190Kv or 260Kv used for DIY. As a result, the initial acceleration is fast, but the top speed is low.

    @@UZB301 The closer you get to 1:2 the more so. (motor side 1: wheel side 2) This lowers the torque and increases the maximum speed and there is more strain on motors and more battery consumption.

    @@UZB301 I didn't use this motor for long periods of time. So, there was no problem so far, but I felt the torque of the motor was too weak when I was riding it. Especially, When accelerating and stopping, the jerky motion was severe due to weak torque.
