I have really not used pencils much. I really enjoyed this tutorial. I am a fine artist who moved from oil paints to acrylics about 10 years ago. I wish you did more of your fine art tutorials. About a year and a half ago I started to combination of pour painting for some back ground work. Which has been fun for me. I think you could teach anyone how to draw 😂 Thank very much for this video.💖💖💖

Glad you enjoyed it! I've found that my fine art tutorials don't get many views, so it's not worth the effort it takes to record. People are more interested in pours, it seems. I have a love-hate relationship with it...currently in the hate stage! 🤪

This was such a great video, Chris. I really wanted to get into working with my colored pencils, but when I saw the price of the substrate that Nilda recommended, it stopped me in my tracks. I'm hoping the paper you like is better priced. It's just hard😋 when you want to try Everything! I was interested in the wax based pencils because it acts as a resist to alcohol ink. I have water color pencils and two other sets, but I'm not even sure what they are or how to use them properly. So this video was particularly helpful and enjoyable! Your cardinal is spot on for Heather's fun painting. I love the juxtaposition of whimsy and a bright and beautiful bird! You really put the "More" in "More" Chris!😊✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Pastelmat is not cheap, but I think worth the price if you really want to work with colored pencil or pastel. I can't recall what Nilda suggested...I thought it was Pastelmat?! Anyway, thank you for watching and I think your wax pencils and alcohol inks are a great combo! 👍
