Live PTO is a game changer. Then the 8N does not have much low gears. You better get advantage of pushing snow than trying to blow snow with the 8N. I am pretty much sure you miss the Kubota! Thanks Kirk!

Your machine looks and sounds good, but for a grand or so more than what you can sell that n for you can get a 4000 which has a very heavy front end, so has power steering, dual range transmission for slower reverse, and a two stage clutch that when pressed half way stops the driveline, but keeps the pto running full power, and your 3pt hydraulics will work whether your clutch is engaged or not...but keep up the good work, machine is great!

joel sheehe I do like that tractor but I bought a Kubota that I use for my driveway now. Since the Ford is my first tractor it would be hard to part with and I don’t think my wife will let me get a third but the 4000 is one of them that I wouldn’t mind having. Thanks for watching

yes you could have a clogging problem if you have no double clutch
@robbaird59723 жыл бұрын
looks like to me that your snow is getting in the shoot from the fan , when you shut off your tractor, can you see up the shoot hole when looking in the snow blower, our poke a stick in the shoot and out in the snow blower, where the half moon of metal is going over the front of the fan hole, maybe that metal plate needs to be wider across, mine is about 5 inches passing the shoot hole , i put a bigger pic of sheet metal on mine was getting clogged up with snow like yours is doing , compressed in the shoot hole from the fan, you have to make sure that no snow can get pressed in the shoot from the fan , i have tried to clog up my snow blower up with wet snow after i added the sheet metal, couldn't clog it up

Yes it gets clogged when I press in the clutch especially with wet snow. I now have a new blower for my Kubota and will be selling this one.

I would mount that on the front, instead of looking backwards, for the whole 1/4 mile, then you could select a lower gear for better blowing!

I would do that but am not smart enough or handy enough to tackle that type of project. It would be helpful though.

What size is your blower? I'm looking at buying a 72inch for my 1955 Ford 600

It is a 60” but I had wings welded on that made it 72” that work pretty well. I have bought a new one this winter for my Kubota that is 72” I will do I video on when it snows

@@backinthewoods2022 I'll be looking forward the new video. Picked my mew blower up Friday. So far so good but I haven't had any deep snow with it yet. The tractor doesn't seem to be running too fast or slow for the small amount of snow I moved.

To each his own, but I prefer to plow with a truck. Save the blower for cutting back banks occasionally. That's the way most highway departments do it and they're the experts. If I was going to stick solely with a tractor, I'd consider going with a pull-type blower on the back and a blade on the front. Just my preference. Also, no way I'd plow snow in that climate without a cab. An open-station machine is OK in places where it snows 5 - 6 times per year, but not that far north where it can potentially snow several times per week. You'll want a cab more as you get older. BTW, my brother clears his nearly quarter mile drive with an Ariens GT-20 garden tractor and does OK with it.
