    Just a note to say that the image in the thumbnail is not what the finished product looks like. The thumbnail is a clipart image of an iridescent skull and that's what is made. Unfortunately that's what iridescent Skulls look like as a clipart. And I don't add my makes to my thumbnails as it spoils it for the viewer. Thanks ❤️

  • @dandaresin

    I think to put black behind the material, it would need to go into a flat mold as there's little holes in the material, so the resin would just soak through it and cover it up.. maybe in flat layers, it would be covered. But I'm not sure, hence why I did clear. Thank you for watching and commenting

    The end result is gorgeous! However, it's much different than the color of the ribbon, which is very interesting. The peach came out brighter than the green and blue that it was when you put it in. So, perhaps we should pay more attention to the underlying color of these ribbons than the overt colors? I have no idea, but it's beautiful. I also love the powder coating on the teeth and jaw because it provides just the right amount of contrast to the peach that is dominant with the ribbon. I don't do skulls because I find them cliché, but that's just me. I'm excited to try this in a globe.

  • @dandaresin

    Thank you!. You will get different effects from the colours more based on the colour of the resin used and the layers of the ribbon of top of each other the different it is again. It's a similar effect to fantasy film that changes colour based on the backing or depending on the layers.. It's a cool effect. I love working with it and will defo like to work with it again, and for under a buck, you can't complain at that.. seeing this material in an orb would be so cool. I'd love to see that. You will have to let me know if you try it and if possible to see the outcome. Thank you so so much for watching and commenting it means a lot ❤️

    When you are doing a deeper pour put it in front of a fan for a couple hours….cools it down just enough that it doesn’t flash cures…..I poured 14ounces in one shot leaving the fan about an inch away from it for about 4 to 5 hours

  • @dandaresin

    @dandaresin

    I have deep pour resin for deep pours. Just with this make I only had a couple of hours spare before the children came home from school hence why I did in two pours and only took me 2 hours as the resin I use cures pretty fast and I use the heat matt to help it cure faster.. so I wasn't really fussed about doing two pours.. 5cm pour takes about 1 to 1½ hour to cure. But thank you for the tip. If one day I'm not I a rush, I will sure use a fan. Much appreciated, and thank you for watching and commenting ❤️

    I got some iridescent gift bows, big giant things, at the dollar store.. ribbons as well.. and put them into skulls and they look awesome. Last night I poured a small skulls with glow in the dark duckies. In regular light they all sort of blend together and all you can really see are the orange beaks. But when they're uv charged they REALLY GLOW and stand out! Last year I dried one of the roses I grew and put it in a skull. I'm a bit skull obsessed honestly 😂

    I would fill it with pebbles (mix black,white,ivory etc but no other colors ) .Fill it halfway with clear,when resin is half way curing,I would fill it with some chameleon colors that has mauve or purplish color highlighted more.This is the answer for the question that you asked in last. Also I would fill it with translucent blue and create some ocean scenes, Sadly nobody likes skull in my neighborhood, otherwise I would have definitely tried these amazing skull molds 😀💜😍

    Thank you, Mary. A few youtubers have said when I 1st started my resin journey, and I've seen it a lot recently. The moisturiser in baby wipes can affect the quality of the molds, so I've always used water wipes without moisturiser so molds keep their shine and don't get a residue on them.
