    loved that old Fosters commercial.....Australian for remote control....a bloke throws a stubby at another in a pub...hits him in the head....and he reaches up to change the channel. LMAO

    You can attribute "stoked" to a fire. When you stoke a fire it gets invigorated and/or excited.

    What you Aussies call "bogons", we Americans usually call either a "redneck", or a "hick", other terms would be "country bumpkin", "yokel", and in the southeastern U.S. (especially in upland areas), a "hillbilly". But there might or might not be other terms we use for them.

    A can is a can, a stubbie is a glass bottle, the same shape as a bundy ginger beer. A paddock is exactly the same as a field, it gets plowed.

    Pretty sure "crow eater" is a reference to the SA coat of arms. Looks like a crow on a plate. Or a magpie in any case.

    A lot of these we use in the UK! 🇬🇧😄 But then a lot of Australians have British heritage plus we grew up watching Prisoner Cell Block H and Neighbours 😝 and in London we've had a large Aussie community. However, a lot had me stumped and even I was amazed at the unique phrases. Love you guys! ❤️

    great vid but....fer the record the term "STOKED" is american originally. i'm 54 and that one was extremely common when i was a kid back in the 70's. i would expect australians to more likely use the term "CHUFFED" like they do in the u.k. and ireland. i can easily imagine 'CHUFFED TO BITS" (also u.k. and ireland) in an australian accent.
