50mm POV Street Photography
Sony 50mm Gmaster Mark II street photography, paired it with the Sony A7RV for 61 MP crispys.
I walked the streets of downtown Houston TX with this combo for a little street photography.
Trying to see if the 50mm focal length will replace my go to 85mm.
Since its 50mm i can use the crop mode and it turns into 85mm, so i get the best of both worlds.
This lens is probably one of the best lenses for not just street photography, but for portrait photography as well.

Are people referring to the 1.4 G Master as a Mark II??

Not really. It's the 50 1.4 GM. I was confused too.

It’s the second edition to the 50mm g master, as the first one was f1.2.

However, this is not the nomenclature Sony uses. The 50 f1.2 is another lens then the 50 f1.4, so there is no 50 f1.4 GM2. In each case it is the first generation. Nice shots anyway. ;) @@g2shoots

@@g2shootsThose are two separate lenses, it's possible one day they'll issue MK 2 f/1.2 and f/1.4 glass. This is a confusing way to refer to it.

My go to for streets after replacing my 85. Tried 35 as well but its just Im still not comfortable especially pointing it face to face to people

It’s slowly replacing my 85 mm as well! It’s nice because it’s basically an 85mm when I put the camera in apsc mode. I’m the same way with wide focal lengths, I always put a 35mm on and end up swapping it out pretty quick haha

85mm down to 50mm.....wont be long until you are rocking a 28mm!

Haha! I’ve tried 35mm and it completely throws me off. I should honestly use wides more just to get better 🤷🏻♂️

@@g2shoots i had the sigma 85mm then went to 28mm monochtome, rarely shoot anything else now
