500HP TURBO Peugeot 106 Monster! - LOUD Turbo Wastegate & Flames!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

During the Time Attack Italia at Franciacorta circuit, I filmed this crazy custom built turbocharged Peugeot 106! The car is equipped with the stock 1.6 liter 16V inline-4 engine which has been tuned-up to produce around 500hp! Video shows the car being driven on the track, producing an incredible sound!

    He was definitely having some traction issues on the exit but the car wasn't understeerin. I see a lot of torque steer. 500hp is too much, though - 300 would be better suited for the traction available.

    It is obvious when you watch the video this car has too much torque/power regarding its weight/size, the wheels just keep drifting and even on straight lines the driver keeps fighting with the steerwheel !! Many solutions and some was noticed right above : also reduce power, or it needs more weight/aerodynamics/tyre-size to keep it "grounded" ;) Sorry 4 bad english i'm french

    Yeah, but all these comments have their point. There is no need for such a little car to have 500 hp. If you put so much power in such a little car you need to make it 4wd or make it somehow drivable. Like this it is just to show off: "Look man, i got soo much power out of a 1,6l machine. I'm so cool." "But can you drive it?" "No." Why don't you make a show and shine car out of it? I would even go so far that i assume a stock Peugeot 106 16v would beat it on a racetrack. The only advantage this 500hp beast would have is driving straight.

    no you dont need that, he uses a satch shift(made by satchell engineering in the uk) so he is probably using a BE type gearbox wich comes from something like a peugeot partner. And by the looks of it he dosnt really have a limited slip diff either, so pretty useless build with an over powered engine. But the problem with it not driving well is more the driver cant drive and a banana would probably have better alignment then this thing. So if he would get a proper limited slip diff and a proper alignment he would allready be way more in control. And i can know, i have a turbo powered 106 too, not nearly as much power. But i recon i could have kept up/passed that porsche at the beginning too, and that with only 1/3th the horsepower but with a better alignment en some traction.

  • @valent17332

    @valent17332

    7 жыл бұрын

    bob rosco I agree with the fact that he doesn't have a limited slip differential, and that's a huge mistake with a fwd car, but if you have a 106 too, you know better than I ;-) And thanks for the gearbox, I didn't know :-)
