That’s almost doubling the power of my GMC Sierra and putting it on a motorcycle. Fuckin’ hell, that’s crazy! I live in a rural area, with ‘tar and chip’ roads. Smooth as glass. I’ve had my Harley up to 119MPH. Harleys are heavy, they don’t rev very high, and they just aren’t built for that speed. Next spring, I’m probably trading it in on a sport bike. Honestly, I’d be happy with a new Yamaha R1, but I’m open to other brands/models. I’m getting tired of ‘slow and loud’. I want ‘fast and furious’. 🔥 When my wife and I bought our new house, I saw my neighbor pull in with a 1,300cc BMW. I thought “Great! I have a local to ride with!”. He was wearing full riding gear and I thought that he was at least my age or younger. When he removed his helmet, his grey hair surprised me. He’s now 79 years old and still rides that bike every day. It’s nothing for him to jump on the bike and ride, straight through, from Northern Illinois to middle Tennessee, to visit his buddy. He’s a retired farmer. Even to this day, I can’t believe that he rides that bike so much, and so far. He doesn’t drive it to its potential, though, but he definitely enjoys the power.

@@Willam_J if you'd like my unsolicited advice about going to a sport bike from a Harley, go naked bro. All day. MT-09, CB1100/650, XSR900.. It's how your neighbor is still riding after all this time; get a comfortable bike. Going from a Harley, everything might feel less than comfortable. Naked bikes have more torque generally, upright seating and are far better for long trips than a 'proper' sport bike like an R1. I think you'd have more fun with a naked regardless, torque over top speed all day. (My 919 can still go about 140. I don't ever touch close to there though.) Source; sold motorcycles in Texas and traveled across the country and back on my naked bike :]

His mate’s doing 280km/h and the Busa flies past him on the back wheel. Dope AF man!
I love this guy\'s spirit. Long live Ghost Rider! Long live the individual. But there's no questioning his skill or bravery - even in the legal world, Furstenhoff holds the official world record for high speed wheelstands, hitting a blistering top speed of 215 mph (346 km/h) on the back wheel. Anyone who's taken a sportsbike on a racetrack knows how powerful a force air resistance can be as you approach 180 mph (300 km/h) - the idea of raising the front wheel at those speeds is frankly terrifying. The air itself would be like a brick wall - you'd be hanging onto the bars for dear life, let alone trying to deal with that force getting under the bike and trying to flip it over backwards.

Mike Hutchinson A little background for the uninitiated: Ghost Rider (widely believed, but never legally proven to be Swedish Wheelie Team member Patrik Furstenhoff, or possibly an amalgam of Patrik and his friends) is an ex-racer, stunt rider and generally rather handy chap behind the handlebars of a motorcycle.

@Doug D ironic because you're wrong. Not every bike is a 1000cc race bike. Naked bikes for an example do not generally have as much power as super sports do. Some bikes fall even under 100hp since engine placements are different.

Every few months or so I like to come back and watch this....it's my happy place
0:57 is the highlight for me. It shows what must be a regular literbike going by and then the busa screaming behind at a speed that makes the other bike standstill, that turbo singing like a bird. What a thrill
That 280kmh wheelie was nice, and yes i believe Patrik F is the man. No bragging crazy guy would ever survive this long.
Love this bike and the rider !!! Damn that front wheel lifting in every gear.
the busa was one of the fastest factory tuned street bikes. that with a decent sized turbo tuned to 1 bar of boost (14.4 lbs) im sure is very capable of ~500 whp
The power to weight ratio on that thing is just insane. Now imagine turbocharging a two-stroke bike of =CC or displacement.
That is music to my ears. Looking good you guys :)
After all these years still fun to watch.
Whenever the red bike about to touch 300 kmph Ghost rider : now i have to surpass him with a wheelie😅

I think he's got the power to weight ratio about right now. Not being able to lift the front wheel at 150mph can be pretty tiresome when you're nipping down the shops. I'm glad to see that he was taking it easy until he'd got used to the new bike. That's what I admire most about Mr G.Rider, always very sensible and never one to take risks. ; )

Wow, my jaw's on the floor, awesome barely describes that bike. Great roadside footage angle, thanks for going to the trouble so we could see what it looks and sounds like going by. I had a dirt bike that was built strictly for racing by the best builder in the area, and when I got up on the pipe, had to have my weight over the tank to keep the front end down, it was fun to ride, this vid reminded me of that bike.

@Willam_J

Most helmets serve no other purpose, than to make the coroner’s job easier, finding all the pieces of your brain. People spend $25,000 on a bike and then wear a $50 helmet. Worse yet, some people wear none at all. Even though my state doesn’t have helmet laws, I still wear one. If you spend some actual money, you can get a very comfortable helmet, which also provides great protection. The better helmets also have Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to hear your GPS.

It's cause it was originally a non naked bike he just made it a naked bike cause of where the turbo sits plus the turbo has a intercooler system hooked up to it so the turbo doesn't blow the engine especially cause it's a big turbo
