@Joe Kinchicken The Mk6 may not be as quick but its a much better car and not owned by every man and his dog. 7Rs are 10 a penny. 6R is a rare beast and a much better looking motor.

The driver asks Clay to take it easy and not get any speeding fines. Clay proceeds to drive the car 110kmh on a 50km road.

Nothing is impossible though, might be cut to fit and repatch or plastic welded, hence why i mention it looks OEM, the custom work look flawless.

What's not to love?! The Golf R is definitely one of my favorite. I own a 2008 VW GTI. It has 218000+ mile on it and still going strong. I'm looking forward to seeing the new R and GTI that would battle the Type R, RS, etc. Be safe, man... Peace!..

In the uk plenty of us have 389.62 kw (522.5) BHP stage 3 golfs it’s fairly normal a few have gone proper mad 600+BHP but maintaining them is a must regularly 👍

Nab vK for me it was this : Miltek decat frontpipe R600 intake Auto tech hpfp Apr lpfp Ngk race plugs Airtec intercooler TTv4 turbo Apr stage 3 Tcu tune Ecotune stage 3 custom map Res delete I’m sure I’ve missed something but that gives you the general idea 👍 Superpro rear anti roll bar with whiteline adjustable drop links AP 6 pot callipers with 362mm 2 piece floating discs as you definitely need stopping power.

Aaron's Golf R is extremely unique and blisteringly fast, it will leave my Stage 2 RS3 in the dust. It is a Mk 6 Golf R and so the interior and driving dynamics are exactly the same as a standard one (apart from the few nice touches he has added). The RS3 is more refined as a whole. It's more comfortable, easier to drive fast, more responsive down low and overall it acts as a better daily vehicle. At the end of the day, different horses for different courses :)

MK6 R's are so much better looking than the MK7 and 7.5's! That center exhaust is sooooo good looking. Need that on my MK7 GTI!!

Considering now, that ypu can buy a DSG Mk6 Golf R now for sub 20k, a 30k upgrade tag would put that car in a 10second bracket and melt most things on the road. That's actually insane. Like, mental, when you consider the price on anything else now, like s chassis ect being 30k plus just for a 14, 33's now talking 20k plus and are all worn. That's just blown my mind. Mind you, I'm a mech That's worked at vw too.

Hi cool vid. Would have liked to see a launch. You said 307kw? I done 300kw on stock turbo with my 6gti. On TTEs we do +-340kw and big turbos like the GT28, GTX3076 etc we do about 360 here. Just rough estimates but we have k04 golfs close to that. And then I have a buddy with a big turbo 7R that actually snakes on launch like a damn rwd car. That's scary, he did 426kw last we dyno'd. #GoAPR Oh and there's a revlimit 6gti that does 10 flat. That's damn fast too.

Exactly 650HP is aprx. 360awk! Factor in about 15-20% drivetrain loss from engine to wheels and thats basically spot on!

Stage 3- Swap out turbo and many internals for forged ones + support parts to aid in the quest for power Stage 4- more aggressive tune for the new turbo + a few more support parts

@@Jackbangers I've got a Mk6R and I had to replace the whole block after rod #3 decided it needed a window. It needs forged rods at the bare minimum for stg3. Forged pistons are a preference, depending on how many cold starts you put the car thru. If its a daily, don't get forged pistons, just rods.

Wouldn't do low 10s in that maybe low 11 to mid 11s

I’m from Melbourne myself and we have a LARGE group of modded car in the community from people driving Rs3s on green ps and whatever. It’s a risk people take and they take the same risk when they try to insure their modded cars .
