Pretty boring race for a World Championship, it was essentially an 800m race. The Ayana era really changed things up.

@@kevinogeto5954 I know she can't kick, hence why she makes the races fast which I think makes for more exciting races. I much rather watching athletes laying down a gauntlet rather than watch them jog for 4000 metres or so and then going for it. Not sure what Obiri has to do with this, but it's true she's beaten Ayana a number of times over 5k. However, in both Rio and London Ayana had ran a hard 10k days previously. I'd be very interested to watch an equally rested Ayana and Obiri compete over 5k and see who'd win. Must be noted also that Ayana has a faster PB by 6 seconds, and has threatened the WR more than once, something Obiri can't say she's done. Over 10k however I don't think Obiri would be much of a match for Ayana. Really hope Ayana comes back strong when it's safe to compete again.

@@alanoconnor737 obiri is not a 10k runner to begin with she does 3k n 5k so ur point of 10k is stale Obiri beat her in Rio 5k n the world athletics in 2017 London.. Yes Ayan is better in 10k but in a 5k she is no match for Obiri
