Q: Why do you have to blur out faces? Your filming in public and you are considered an independent journalist. I don't think there's a privacy law in a public place.

But I choose to blur, to respect the privacy of those who've been apprehended. It's just a personal choice and I still feel like it's the right thing to do. Even if it takes hours to blur every video.

Faking government IDs should be a criminal offense. Both for the producer and the holder.

using fake gov ID is already falling under Article 172 of Revised Penal Code but if it is a LTO license, that will fall in chapter 1 - article II section 31 of RA 4136.

@@barbaraescuela60 Yeah, even other parts of the government are slow as shit. Many national IDs hasn't been released for over 1 year now. Also, regarding the plate no., whenever I commute I always see about 60%-70% of motorcycles only have "Registered vehicle" as their plates and looking at thread of their tires it's probably been like that for around 1-3 years already.

That's why it's important to show the public what's being done and why. That's why I don't agree with people who say it's a waste of time to explain things to people. It's not a waste of time because if you don't explain, a lot of people will never understand what's happening and why.

It should be, fake licenses are often used for criminal purposes because the license plate of the vehicle you're driving isn't actually tied to your identity, it pretty much makes the crime accessory untraceable. Filipino law is way behind the times.

If I were an apprehending mmda officer who happens to encounter someone who uses the age old alibi of "I'm just going there or just nearby" I will ask them to show me a clause in the law that says that they are exempted from wearing crash helmets, slippers or maybe even not needing a license. If they can show me one then I'd gladly let them go

you can put up business establishments occupying the sidewalk if you have many relatives & friends who will block vote for local officials like the Mayor, Vice Mayor, Councilors, Brgy Captain & Kagawad... no politician will go against you

The MMDA are doing a great job and honestly they need more of them to help keep the Philippines clean for their people to walk safely in the cities and do keep them safe while they are riding or driving

It is more on how we will implement the law and to enforce discipline among our constituents. Filipinos are notorious on being "pasaway" every single time I watch this kind of videos. I think, someone on congress or senate shall discuss to reform existing laws specially on this kind of things. For example, making a merit system wherein you will have certain merits on your license and if you exceeded the amount, either your license will be suspended or ultimately revoked indefinitely as license is only a privilege not a right.

This won’t work as long as mayors and provincial governors are allowed to be re-elected. They should have a single longer term. That way they won’t have to beg for votes by being lenient on enforcing laws. I’ve seen too many good mayors not get re-elected because they implement the law.

It's cheaper to get proper license from LTO.

holders of fake licenses are either underaged or active criminals(those planning to ditch the vehicle which is most likely rented after committing a crime), that's why fake ids are criminal offences in most of the world, idk why tf we handle it so leniently in th Philippines, it's a total head scratcher.

Car wash and vulcanizing shops are set up at the side walks and streets. I dont know why business permits are issued with no proper place 😪😪😪

Let's hope House Bill 31 passes into law, requiring people to have a parking space before they buy or register a vehicle.

sa totoo lang madali lang kumuha ng lisensya kapag dumaan ka sa proseso at mas mura pa. yung iba kasi natatakot na sumablay sa exam . kung natatakot ka sumablay sa exam may theoretical review sa driving school

We need to up the fines on all traffic violations. Thats the only way for the motorists to behave and follow the traffic rules and regulations.

The horse...hope a concerned agency or group looks into it... if you have to make an animal work for you atleast give him/her a fair share. If you just compare the other horse to the other, big difference.

Way back when those carriages were not horse driven more of cows were used for that purpose. Horses are for kalesa or karitela.

P5,000. Hindi Naman ganun ang babayarin mo SA LTO. I took the written and driving test at LTO for less than P800. And passed all the test. But you have to study to pass the written test of course.

Kawawa yung kabayo, dapat ipahinga na yan sa serbisyo.. Parang kasambahay din yan sa bahay, kung matanda na hindi na pwedi mag trabaho.

Just wanted to ask if they made some changes with the licenses. My wife who got ther license last month (SEPTEMBER 2022) looks different from what I renewed last APRIL 2022. The new license she got when you use a flash light its yellow, the date of expiry you cannot feel it with your nails same with the one on the back. Did they change something?

The security features change with each series of cards. So yes, you'll notice some differences. Even the UV eagle was replaced with a different design.

I remember driving on Marcos Highway on our way to Urdaneta or coming from Urdaneta. First time I've driven on it in years. The highway was expanded, total of 4 lanes, 2 lanes in either direction. But the right-hand most lanes were being used to dry large swaths of palay! So for that long stretch of Marcos Highway I was driving on, it was still basically a two-lane road! 🤦

Another KAMOTE RIDER! Ganda ng motor, wala naman license at helmet... if meron man di naman sinusuot helmet... Be safe everyone to these kamote riders...

yung mga ganitong vid masasabi mo talaga na hindi kulang sa disiplina ako motoristang pinoy. marami lang talaga walang disiplina at walang pake sa kapwa. basta maka-park, makapaghanap buhay, makabiyahe... who cares to rules and guidelines. matatawa ka na lang sa mga kamote rider na tingin sa helmet ay display, optional at pabigat sa kanila. sana pwede suspendihin yung lisensiya after X number of violations.

I still remember when nung nag pa license ako back in 2019. It was my first time doing government related stuff kaya I didn't know what to do. Muntik ako nabiktima nang mga fixer buti na lang kulang pera dala ko (enough lang for exams, test drive, etc.) . Dude at the beginning should've known from the start that 5k for license is way too much than taking a leave at work for a day. Iirc, 5k is about 85% of your bi weekly wage if salary is 15k. Mag leave ka mga less than

They should try Banawe St. in QC. Vehicles are parked on the sidewalk in front of the business establishment mostly dealing with auto parts and car accessories. Vehicles are being fixed and repaired with there. Chinatown is worse. The Chinese are untouchables in Chinatown.

How come cars and morocycles parked under footbridge along edsa are not apprehended and right under the nose of mmda personnels ? Because some of those are their motorcyckrs or cars..

Baka pwede nyo din check dun sa east fairview near fcm madami dun pasaway.. sana laging meron ganyan clearing out para mawala na yang matitigas na ulo na mga yan. Paulit ulit nalang o dapat taasan ng 10k - 15k fine sa mga iligal parking na yan.

good job MMDA but you need to do it consistently for them to learn, im sure after a days or more those apprehended will still park on those area., try to do it for 4x a week and do it in different days so that they will not be able to know your schedule of visit..

Hey GA, thank you for what you do, and for the longer video! I do have a question: if the car/motorcycle is impounded since there's no owner who showed up, how would the owner know if his/her car was impounded and where to go to claim? (Assuming that they are not aware of Tumana). Thanks!

There's an impound notice that will be left with a nearby person of authority (police, enforcer, guard). If there's no nearby person of authority, the impound notice is taped to a nearby post or left under a rock, where the vehicle was parked. But to be honest, as soon as the person even gets close, there are many marites that will tell them what happened to their car or motorcycle. Plus the Barangay are aware of the clearing operation, because of the required coordination.

these videos by GA has posts since 2018. its 2022 and the same violations still continue. not much has changed with the attitudes towards responsibilities while driving.

Can we address all the crap on the sidewalks? Wooden cages, garbage, illegal eateries, illegal car wash, plant pots, pet cages. Why are these not punishable and why are people accountable not penalized?

Anti-poor daw. That's one of the frustrating things to be honest.. when the MMDA confiscate those items, to clear the sidewalk, or if the HPSEPO team issue environmental tickets, people flood social media with "anti poor" and "walang consideration, walang puso" comments. But when those same people are trying to walk along the sidewalk and encounter those obstructions, they're the first to complain online and blame the various local or national Government units for allowing it... 🤷‍♂️ You're damned if you do, and damned if you don't.

At this time Enforcement is the main solution in the road and traffic problems, temporarily disregard seminars and drivers' self discipline as these seemed ineffective. Provide more budget for mmda and employ more enforcers.

They should actually jail people who provide fake license. Its like having a fake diploma. You pretend to have something that you didnt earn.

Even nowadays, I see people constructing or extending over the sidewalk. And I always ask myself, If I can see this, the Barangay must also see it. So why are they allowing it? The moment they see someone building something on the sidewalk, they should stop them!

Look at tondo manila area where i live, sidewalks are almost non existant here, people are always walking on the street like i do sometimes, its just frustrating for me, and risky getting hit by a side car or a motorcycle.

I wonder when will the Filipino motorists learn to be disciplined and follow traffic laws?

I think the mmda should be the one to conduct if the owner of vehicle has an parking space and is being use one the law for no garage no registration law passed
