The thing is...the standard Ka with the newer 1.3 Duratec SOHC is actually a brilliant car in the corners. It's what I have as my first car, and on a local twisty road with up and downhill hairpins I outran my mate in his mk3 Golf 1.6 CL. I honestly can't decide if I want to make it a project or just get a nicer car when my insurance finishes in September.

@@CasualGearheads The more logical choice is the SportKa over the StreetKa. The SportKa is just a standard Ka with a nicer interior, body kit, nicer alloys and a more powerful 1.6 engine putting out 95 bhp. The StreetKa is a convertible with the same engine as the SportKa but because it's a convertible it's much heavier.

Alex is the orangutan, Ethan is captain slow and Jack is the tall hamster.

Jacob White mate I live in Australia so stuffs a bit different here. For the 2007 V6 it cost me around 950 a year for registration and 65 a month for insurance and it cost me 275 for stamp duty tax

@@finnjb3249 True, but you don't really need one. The 4 cylinder turbo is a lot better for tuning. It's actually an upgraded version of the Lancia Delta Integrale engine. Actually, it can go to maybe 300hp with parts from other Lancia and Fiat engines, no need for expensive, custom made tuning parts, like for the 5 cylinder one.

@@clauds5th352 once you do general maintenance yes. It's a smooth ride considering it's age. It's specially good on corners because it's a low car. If you mod it you can get a good amount of power.

I love the contrast. We have Alex, who's "basically a racing driver" of course and then we have Ethan, who hardly knows how to even drive a car. And you can see the guy isn't pretending - he's genuinely lost in the automotive world. He's the kinda guy, who uses a car just to take him from point A to point B w/o the slightliest bother what that car is and what it can do. He's happy with anything with 4 wheels, a steering, a roof and a propulsion mechanism.

This is my favorite Car Throttle Video ever.

The BBC hired the wrong three muppets for the last season of top gear. It should have been these 3 muppets, way more entertaining. Top stuff.
