I've only recently run across and been watching all of Nom's linguistics lectures. I find this subject absolutely fascinating.

15:03 Chomsky's voice is almost inaudible due to the audio engineer falling asleep the entire time.

I find it hilarious how these life long students of learning, like Noam Chomsky, are considered to be the great thinkers of the world, and yet with all of their knowledge, they don't have an answer or solution to any of the myriad of problems facing the world today. They are what we referred to, when I was young, as intelligence asses. People with vast intellect, whose knowledge had absolutely no relevance in the real world.

Does anyone know if Mr. Chomsky and his partner have seen the recent "TEDtalk", "Birth of a Word", where a doctorate student and his co-workers did an amazing video, audio of 8hours/day for more than 2years and use computer graphics analyses of the birth of his son's achievements? Mr. Chomsky always amazes me with his thinking about what is expected and the vastness of what he claims is really not known.

~he’s noticed just how vast all of the unknown and unstudied areas are, so many aspects related to the workings of the human mind. On the other hand, linguists really felt like they had linguists all sewn up, yet Noam Chomsky WAS the thread cutter…!!

please put Chomsky's name in the title or at least the description, I found this video accidentally thought I lost it and wasn't able to find because there's no mentioning of Chomsky in description, only by accident I found it again...

@Dymdez Then you haven't been in the field of linguistics long. And he is not a dissident, the term that is more accurate is a writer of critical discourse on USA policy

For all the awareness of linguistics weather in person or on audio, Mr. Chomsky, has always spoken extremely softly. Adding an audio cable and your own volume is the only option around this difficulty.

🙏🏻, I have ever said about learning , if’s you learn and read more, especially with your concentrated what you do, it’s the knowledge connection of every science and arts togetherness with the natural life, that we could never leaving anything with circumstances happening. It’s human and nature shall not be broken. With the more you think on with reasoning and logical concern, it’s the more you have conscious about what’s going on with your verifying evaluation of every human behaviors and the tracking process, it’s not just why’d but I expect to get the How’s it happened. I wrote with the reasoning for explanation not only for the situation to be, I analyzed it, please 🙏🏻. With today’s technology, it’s easier for me to get the answers for explanation and reference to the truth whichever it was twisted.

I write just in case, case desolves with and within it's natural place/form as it seams to be the linear path chosen ("these days") when cases that bring considerable fruition are dropped by letting go of their constraints/limit's that turns them with and within experimental observables, turning in turn experimental observables in dou/gh bt.
