50 things I NO longer buy & save THOUSANDS | minimalism frugal living tips

Along the way of my minimalism and decluttering journey, I actually learned there were A LOT of things I could get rid of and stop buying that not only gave me a more peaceful space but ended up saving us thousands of dollars cumulatively. Some are unconventional, but I have not missed them at all. I hope it gives you some frugal living tips and ideas to save some money yourself:)

I agree sunlight is important, however I 100% disagree about stopping using sunglasses. I have blue eyes and there are some days that are just too bright for my eyes even with a hat. I wear them maybe 25% (or less I am forgetful and suffer for it lol) of the time but when I need them I need them.

Respect! There's so much you can save $$ on. Almost anything DIY if you have the time will save a lot of money. Some things that come to mind for me is making hand soap (just castile soap, a little olive oil and just water to a foam pump; castile soap can be used to clean a lot in addition to diluted rubbing alcohol for granite countertops/vinegar for bathroom cleaning); no more essential oils (overrated), thrifting/getting things at estate sales (estate sales are the best - people lived and loved those items and they're cheaper/better quality than what you can get at the store or online these days); minimizing beauty/skin/hair products (I use rhassoul clay to exfoliate and bison tallow/castor oil to moisturize, other than that I only have argan oil - love to keep my skin & hair routine simple and castor oil is a miracle oil with a ton of uses); stopping most supplements and getting to root causes like you mentioned - diet, exercise, sleep, stress, sunlight, loving relationships). KZread is super helpful for self-education vs. buying programs too. Eliminating the consumerism mindset is liberating for the soul and the pocketbook, you feel less owned by the things you do buy and I find I appreciate what I make and have more now. Thank you - automatic sub!

okay so i was major team menstrual cups for like 3 years but was experiencing some pelvic floor issues. kind of stopped using them intuitively then postpartum i went to therapy for my P.F. and she mentioned cups can sometimes not be a good fit for women with hypertonic P.F.! so random but I haven't used them since!

A bar of soap or a rag work. It kinda goes back to the idea of changing your pH with vaginal products though. Your skin has a microbiome that helps protect, so if you use a bunch of products it winds up killing off the natural protection and opens you up to fungal and bacterial infections.
