@gravy3858 the roads were ram packed with open back trucks, with loads of people on the back with drums, and all sort of instruments just chaos everywhere, hundreds of seats had already been put out in the town and a huge projector where I watched the match, brilliant! That's why I want England to win it lol

@@Grant-xh3qqmost years, you’d be correct. But keep in mind: 1) that Denmark team didn’t even qualify for euro’92. Only reason they were there is because Yugoslavia was in the middle of a civil war. 2) their best player, laudrup, thought so little of their chances, he didn’t even go to the tournament.

I remember going to do a refrigeration job in a kebab takeout just after Greece won the Euros and I said to the owner “you must be happy about Greece winning the European Cup” not knowing that A: he was Turkish and B: the Turks and Greeks really hate each other! Though the angry look on his face when I basically called him Greek did say it all, before he told me that he was Turkish and just how much he and all Turkish people hate the Greeks and said “it’s like me calling you German or French!” I like the Germans I can speak their language fluently but I do hate the French and Americans (including most of my American side of the family)

We have to have a clueless twat like the tactically inept Southgate in charge. Euro 92 all Denmark had to do was beat one of the best Dutch teams ever who were the current European champions (its a toss up between the Dutch team of 74-78 or 88-92) in the semifinals the beat the World champions in the final. Everyone thought it was going to be the Netherlands Vs Germany in the Euro 92 final but no Denmark went on to win the tournament and the biggest shock winners until Greece won Euro 2004

The netherlands just sucks with penalties. We've lost on pens so many times at big tournamemts. And ofc we won the euros in '88 but also lost 3 world cup finals and oh boy, those were chsnces to win something big but nowadays we just lack and we are nowhere near the level and quality as we used to be at and we will probably never get to semi or final again.

At least Italy won Euro 2020 (held in 2021) beating hosts England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿0-1🇮🇹 in the final and I knew whoever won I’d be happy as I’m English but support Italy as well. In club football I support Liverpool who were my first love (my dad supports Man Utd and hates Liverpool so growing up in the 80’s Liverpool were winning everything like Man Utd in the 90’s & 2000’s plus my dad hated Liverpool so that was two reasons to support Liverpool for me even though my group of friends were Arsenal fans. I still remember like it was yesterday watching Liverpool Vs Arsenal in the last game of the 88/89 season with my dad and my friend and all Liverpool had to do was get a draw to win the title and Arsenal won 2 nil and won the Division 1 title at Anfield). My true love is Juventus and I’ve supported them since the 89/90 season even though Milan had their dream team with Guillet, Van Baston, Rikjard (I hope those Dutch names are spelt correctly) and even a young Maldini was soon to join them. But Juventus signed my favourite player at the time Roberto Baggio In 1990 and Vialli the next season. And even though I’m English and supported Liverpool (and still do) first if they were to play Juventus in the Champions League I’d want Juventus to win
