Morocco is a beautiful country. Indeed, some merchants increase the prices, but you must take a tour guide with you from the region because he knows the real prices so that you will not be overcharged. I am following you from Morocco and this is the most appropriate solution, and you must take into account that Marrakesh is a tourist city for this reason the prices are a little high

Im not sure if that ll work. It just seems like it's not the best quality and the hood was way too small. She overpayed imo.
My husband and I found this video because we wanted to learn how to negotiate with antique dealers and this video seemed like it would have good advice. There is definitely a lot of good advice in this video, but the cut-throat bargaining made us feel so uncomfortable. We are both quiet, shy people and it was hard to imagine us bargaining like this. We also recently moved to Spain, so Morocco is right next door. I am dying to visit a Moroccan market, but again, the cut-throat bargaining is going to be difficult for us. I think we will watch this video over and over again, as well as some other similar videos, to get accustomed to the extreme bargaining environment. After all, these sellers depend on the buyer's uncomfortable feeling in order to make more money.
@YadVenturess
8 ай бұрын
Absolutely it can be very cut throat if you’re not used to this type of environment, however, don’t feel too uncomfortable when you’re in these situations as for them it’s totally normal and just take your time you don’t have to buy anything straight away, just say you’ll think about it and come back later if you REALLY want something. They might try give you a better price when you leave and then it’s up to you if you want to take it. The people are very kind, it’s just this is there way of communicating don’t take any of it personally and you will have a great time. 😊

The prices are crazy now in Marrakech, they think Europeans are made of money, they dont know we have all sorts of bargain shops like Primark, same in France nowadays with many €20 shops with very decent stuff. Marrakech is pricing it self out of the market. I came back from Marrakech 5 days ago and bought very little, and I am the bargaining queen having spent a lot of time in Asia!!!

You are spot on, Liz! I was shocked that the orange piece of cloth is 25 euros. I must add the quality was terrible as it ripped the next day and colored all my other clothes orange, so I do feel they seriously overprice things.

@@YadVenturess you need to start at about a quater of the price the seller tells you in morocco and not go up a lot from there. Id say maybe go up to max 40% if the seller seems like a decent and honest person.
I have social anxiety and I'm going in September with my dad. Oh man this is my worst nightmare but I will try
bargaining is kind of a cultural thing here in Morocco 🇲🇦 you’ll need to bargain even if you’re a local but don’t do it too much because it can come off pretty disrespectful sometimes

The data on mobile is generally very good, fast and accessible in all areas. Regarding wifi in apartments, it really varies as some landlords to choose picking cheaper options, so we always ask for wifi speed before booking anything!
Merchants and people hanging out in local old city centers is probably the worst thing in morocco. As a moroccan, i encourage such content and i believe that it would teach both sides a lesson (tourists to be careful and merchants to be more honest). Moroccans are kind, hospitable, generous and helpful, but nowadays the exception is getting bigger that it starts to seem like the rule, which is not the case. ❤ i hope you had a great holiday, keep bargaining.

it was very rude that you tried the orange trousers and wasted the time of the seller and decided not to buy it... You have to ask the prices before you try!!! Those people are trying to earn for their family too.. in the UK you accept to pay so much more just for brands and names...

You obviously haven’t been to Morocco before and don’t know how things work there. We asked him for the price around 5 times at the start and he wouldn’t give it to us and then gave us a ridiculous price at the end. If you watch the video properly you’ll see that we found the same pair of trousers for a fraction of what he quoted us. This is how you bargain in Morocco.

I rescued 48 cats so far. I ran all sorts of paid ads to find serious adopters, without success. I resorted to foreign shelters where they have been accepted. I got all their blood work done to be eligible to travel to North America and some of them to Western Europe. I’m stuck with transportation. There is no pet relocation company in the whole country of Morocco which is a shame, the only way is to get them to travel with people (maximum 1 cat per passenger). In case you can onboard a cat, I’ll pay for the flight fees plus $250 for your kindness. Thank you much and God bless.
