Hello! I decided to head to Loveland Ski Area this past weekend and try out their lower Valley section.
Even though the Valley is geared towards beginners, I still had a great time on the mountain enjoying the scenery and short lift lines! (Pro tip: avoid the smaller Lift 7 if possible and use Lift 3, there is a get-off halfway up in case you don't want to go all the way to the top)

When the parking lot at basin gets full, and I get stuck in traffic, I just park at valley, usually within 200ft of the lodge, and ski there. I might take the shuttle first thing and ski at basin for a couple of hours, but then I go back down to valley for the rest of the day. LOTS of neat hidden terrain over that NEVER gets busy. I was there feb. 19! BEAUTIFUL day at valley!

Right! I totally agree, you can have yourself a fun day down there without the traffic and lift lines of up the hill. Def worth the time to check it out!

I'm over at the Valley all the time. Sometimes during the week you can feel like you're the only one using the lift. It's pretty nice.

Heck yeah thats awesome. I totally agree, its a cool little spot to get plenty of runs in!
Am from Costa Rica and am thinking about going on mid November and give it a try. Regards

@@ervinslens No way man! Just went skiing with my mom yesterday and she hasn't gone in nearly two decades! Start small and you can get the hang of it
