I imagine that while Carlos is stuck in the otherworldly plane, Cecil sometimes goes to the Arby's where they had their first date and he sits in the same table, imagining Carlos is in front of him like that night, and then gets sad because he's not there.

i love this one, You & I Belong, and The Bus Is Late

The little chuckle as he says "and, apparently, a *mountain*". Love it. Cecil Palmer is my favorite, and Cecil Baldwin is such a good actor.

My favorite Canadian baseball team is the Asbestos Dry Coughs. I really hope they make it to the playoffs this year, but it's not looking very good. They had some problems with their bullpen, but they didn't catch it until it spread to the dugout.

When Cecil said "the Mayoral Swearing-In Ceremony" I understood it to be a ceremony where everyone's speeches were laced with expletives. Although perhaps not the intended implication, I do believe it fits well regardless and I consider it to be headcanon.

I love turning on random episodes of Welcome to Night Vale while doing boring chores. The Weather makes doing the dishes much better. Also, I think Night Vale's rabbits have been teaching my local squirrels. One opened the lid on my bird feeder and climbed inside to eat.

Okay Nightvale. Way to be too creepy. I was listening to this as I was doing other things, I was absentmindedly bouncing around frequently visited sights and typed gi in chrome to jump to gif sounds. But it brings me to a gif of a couch being shredded (in reverse) to the how its made theme. This is how I usually get to the sight, but there is a problem with this, It always go there so the how its made theme is slowly getting to be annoying. To avoid this I usually click a link to another gifsound randomly or choose to head to the main page. While listening I clicked one named: "JERMS BERHND" and as the radio host began to say: "continued the committee member as a brass band some were else in the world-" he was cut off by a the suddenly sound of brass instruments blaring the James Bond theme played over my PC. Now I would normally ask what the odds of such a cosmic event occurring are but since they happend its clearly 100%. Good job on breaking the universe Nightvale. Good job...

I’ve listened to this weather a bunch of times before I I shouted “WOW!” When I heard it. My mom is concerned

I'm sure sad for Carlos but Cecil seems like the optimist one, plus he can call Carlos and text him wherever and whenever he wants so I don't think he will ever cry or feel lonely unless carlos don't respond or just don't get back... I mean I'm really glad to not here Cecil all depressed! Stay optimistic baby 😭!! But *I* can cry 😭

I'm few years late, but I really hope someone was hugging Cecil when he wasn't on air

Good point, but I think she just was scared. Nightvale has a high enough mortality rate as it is, and as the Smiling God along with Strexcorp have at very least been implied to be capable of brainwashing, and as she had already rounded up an army of masked soldiers and angels, she didn't want to risk the lives of innocent citizens, or risking them turning over to the side of Strexcorp. She probably only would have wanted Night Vale citizens to fight as a very last resort. Tamika's strategy, on the other hand, was to go at Strexcorp right away with everything they had. Certainly not a bad strategy, as there is power in numbers, but not one that wouldn't chance risking a few lives, _including_ Dana's mother and brother. Then again, I haven't seen any episodes after this, so I could be completely wrong about this, of course.

I don't remember this episode at all but the weather is extremely familiar. I can't imagine hearing it anywhere else so either I forgot listening to the episode or the song reminds me of another. Either way, it's a goodun.

Everyone talking about Carlos but I'm curious about the symbolism behind rabbits in that episode.

Um, no... technically they are lagomorphs. Different tooth structure and always herbivores. They're pretty close, but scientifically speaking they're not the same thing. Granted, Night Vale rabbits may be omnivores with rodent-teeth, and if they aren't Carlos [thanks for catching me Gold Mewtwo] and his team are probably the only ones in town to care about the distinction. ;)
