I love that you actively read and enjoy middle-grade fantasy! I think they're perfect light fantasy reads, and there are so many great stories I come across in that category ❤

Totally!! Middle grade is definitely one of my most read genres. I love the whimsical feeling fantasy books and I feel like middle grade does it best!

I am SO excited for Skandar 3 and Greenwild 2! They are my most anticipated and I've made a mental list of every other new MG book you mentioned! I wasn't blown away by Amari, I wanted to love it but I'm not sure if that's something I'll continue with in 2024 but by the sounds of it we won't be short of new potential this coming year!!!

I don't pay attention to covers. My bookshelves are not where I see them, or anyone else can. I just finished Emily Wilde and it was ok. I'll wait for a used copy. I just started Lies of Locke Lamora and I love it so far. I am going to read Bride. I've never read Hazelwood. A Tempest of Tea sounds good. No middle grade for me, but I have 2 grandkids that read them.

I totally understand not paying attention to covers, its really not that important in the grand scheme of things. Im glad to hear you are enjoying Locke Lamora, I haven't read it but i've heard so many wonderful things!

13:19 Why is it so hard to find a good pirate book??? So many of them are just about ppl hanging on a boat and that’s it. I’m sooooo grateful that i’m not a special edition person! I love watching the hauls but I can’t imagine the stress of grabbing them on public day! I’m excited for the new Meg Schaffer in June I think. The Wishing Game was a surprise favorite for me this year.
