❤📚🌞 It's such a great summer reading list! We have very similar taste in books, as I've read many of these! For a dystopian summer read The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton would definitely qualify as a summery read. It is a story about a young girl living through climate change, hurricanes, loss, vulnerability, and fear. It's a slower read, but hard to put down.

We are definitely on the same page with these recs. I loved Remarkably Bright Creatures and I’m working through The Housemaid series now. I also have Malibu Rising, Beach Read and Demon Copperhead on my summer TBR. I would also recommend One Summer in Savannah. It’s a lit fic with some heavy topics, but the summer beachy vibes are there.

Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury comes to mind for a summer classic recommendation 🙌🏻❤️ I read it when I was younger and I just remember the atmosphere of the book. There are also some big questions which I think sometimes we ponder on those peaceful, hot summer evenings.

Thank you for your recs Alivia,i'm definitely gonna try beach read i really feel it's high time i read some Emily Henry work .Some of my recs would be the hunger games trilogy because for some reason my brain has connected summer with dystopia YA ,i think it's because of the end of school year back then i wanted to read something to escape the exams and all that so it worked for me. A sci-fi /horror recommendation would be Annihilation.I've read that recently and let me tell you, it's that weird horror story that it works if you read it DURING the summer because of the exploration of the nature that includes,it's a trilogy and there is an upcoming 4th book in October.Last one ,as a greek I think greek mythology retellings are awesome for the summer, so along with Circe that you mentionted i would add "The Song of Achilles" by the same author.

Beach read is the only Emily Henry book I have left to read so it is on my summer list.
