5-Year-Old Go-Kart Driver Dreams Of Racing In The F1: Tiny & Talented | On The Red Dot

In this episode of Tiny & Talented, meet Raphael D’Arielli and Chloe Chua, children under 7 who are both excelling in niche extreme sports. 5-year-old Raphael D’Arielli has an extraordinary passion for Formula 1 racing that belies his young age. His natural gift kicks in when he's placed behind the wheel of a go-kart displaying an amazing ability to navigate the track with precision. He has already competed in two races this year - one in the Philippines and another in South Africa. Could this pint-sized enthusiast be a future face of Formula 1?
Chloe is a spirited 6-year-old girl with a passion for aggressive inline skating. She exhibits an exceptional talent on wheels and competes with kids twice her age. But with no suitable place for someone her size to practice in Singapore, she hops between Korea and Singapore to tackle ramps and perfect her stunts. How far does the 6-year-old aggressive inline skater aspire to take her passion and skills?

This is a typical example of how Singapore doesn’t support the motorsports and extreme sports industry. Sad to see potential young buds that are actually Singaporeans but lack the support and backing. There should be proper academies here to groom and identify the cream of the crops. Happy that Raphael has to turn to Italy for the correct and proper structure for his growth in motorsports. But sad that his own country doesn’t support him. Kudos to the parents 🫡 May I see him on the starting grid at a Singapore Night Race one day. 😉🤙💪🙏

Competency and leadership are precisely the attributes that are lacking in the 4G politicians. Is he confused, lost or suffering from some form of mental dysfunctions? Real leaders don’t stay in denial but are able to accept harsh criticisms, admit their mistakes and show resolve in making good by their response, not more rhetoric.

As retrenchment and unemployment grow, and the cost of living skyrockets, the PAP is desperately trying to shift attention away from its broken promises by telling Singaporeans that life is more than just the 5Cs. It looks like having the 5Cs - cash, credit card, car, condo and country club membership - as espoused by former PM Goh Chok Tong is increasingly unattainable by the new generation of Singaporeans. In 2010, Goh once said that many young Singaporeans are well educated and have a good chance of attaining the 5Cs provided they worked hard.
