What about the scanning guy on the pole??? His life is utterly pointless, and he knows it. He probably joined the rebellion to fight on the front lines, prepared to die for what he believes in... and then got stuck on top of a pole with nothing but a barcode scanner and an injured ego to keep him company.

Well he scanned for incoming ships. He is the Alliances eyes and ears. As a bit of out of universe trivia, the actor who played the trooper was an ILM employee who "won" the part because he didn't have any kids at the time.

At least some are skilled though. Rebel Infantry never struck me as being that good. I honestly think Stormtroopers are more skilled on average, but they suffer from not being allowed to "think" during combat. Neither can hold a candle to Clone Troopers though in terms of skill and talent.

I think a game focused around a Rebel spy could be really good. But to make it work it has to be very committed to a dark tone. Not light hearted to appeal to kids. Develop relationships between the characters only to put the protagonist in a situation to spare their friend at the cost of the well-being of the Alliance, or betray and murder them to keep things running smoothly elsewhere. Make decisions matter in a dark and gritty Star Wars universe

@@eliteified4124 No the worst jobs in the Empire are 1. TIE Pilot you are basically in a flying coffin 2. Dark Trooper Phase Zero most of them actually preferred suicide to being a cyborg soldier. That is why they switched to pure droids for the next phases 3. Clone Stormtrooper the EU makes it clear most Clone Troopers who were in Stormtrooper Corps reacted to their non-clone comrades as "I'm surrounded by idiots" 4. Radtrooper You have to work in radioactive zones that are not survive for regular Stormtroopers and since most of time these zones were places neutron bombed by the Empire, there are rarely any hostiles and the few times there are, you can't rely on your blaster to save and have to use a melee weapon. 5. Planetary Governor Technically, they are part of the Imperial Bureaucracy, but they hold little power any request to the sector's Moff or to the military is taken as a polite suggestion they will get around when they feel like it.

In empire at war i had to take on an imperial fleet and lost all my ships except my transport ships that i had sent to the rear so in an act of desperation i charged the battered and bloodied imperial forces at them and won.

Any job that forces you to be close to General Grievous better make out your will when you first get word of the transfer. 3. Firefighter Droids. When there is a fire on the ship normally something has gone horribly horribly wrong. 4. PK Droids. Picture this you are droid who has to take orders from others and yet you are related to the incredibly sociable 3P0 line of Protocol Droids you get no respect at all. 5. Demolition Droids. They are programmed to be suicide bombers need I say more.

Well logistics isn't glamorous but it is important.

The real question is whether Elvis The Alien is for or against humanity.

When flying the A-Wing in "Star Wars: X-Wing" i also usually lower the shields just to gain extra speed and rely on dodging enemy fire. In the second mission where you have to scan Imperial ships i also turn off the weapons power making the A-Wing even more faster. Sometimes after completing the mission objectives i rearm them to hunt some Tie Fighters before hyperjumping out of the mission area.

Logistics for #1 Hey guys… Why don't we use Droids to support the troops? Issue #2 Say… don't they also make repair Droids that can act as mechanics and workshop assistants? Yeh, we're getting some along with the flight simulators. #3 and #4, umm… good luck. #5 you're in your own, here's a instant poison capsule implant, careful… it's also triggered if you get hit with a stun blaster. Believe me that's for the best.

1. Logistics is under-appreciated but very important for any military. As Napoleon said, "An army runs on its stomach" 2. Repair Droids are only so good.

For the Rebellion for the empire the most importantly for the Republic

After the destruction of the first death star, rebel recruitment exploded. I like what you did there

I know a even worse rebel job: jedi Not only are you bringing a shit load of danger for yourself, but the other ones your with. your gonna be hunted by inquisitors, shadow guards and the worst: darth vader There are also better things to do as a jedi in this time then being in the front line. Sure you might have to skill to do a bigger scar then a ordinary rebel partisan but your still under threat by the empire just like the others but worse. a human rebel probably would serve time in a prison but if you were a jedi you would be tortured

Yeah that's a good video! At least some types are slightly better condition than the Vietcong fighters and the Mujahideen fighters from the Cold War. Right? And please make 5 worst jobs in the Resistance in the future?

The worst job is to be near a main character when an attack starts.

Good list. What about the rebel engineers who had to set up the bases on Yavin 4 and Hoth? They’d have to arrive first with minimal equipment and manpower to get everything setup for the rest of the alliance that would be arriving. Perimeter sentries for those bases wouldn’t have a good time of it either; exposed to the elements and any advance enemy fire (I.e. first to die). Y-Wing pilots had the slowest starfighters, being bombers instead of dog fighters, and were more exposed to enemy fighters unless they had escorts (in-spite of their heavy arsenal and shields).

A-wings are awesome. Don’t diss them.

You left out the two collection of most horrible jobs.. on both sides; the dreaded sanitation tasks -(from merely mopping the floors endlessly, to all wast matter plumbing maintenance, and then there's...medical stations triash where the stress levels can't be measured when dealing with horribly mangled victims of battle...with insufficient medication supplies -of any kind, dealing with post-trama mental disorders...

Whatever happened to Lieutenant Lyste after Kallus had him arrested. Thrawn knew that Kallus was the spy after that episode and Lyste is never seen again. I'm sure this question was answered a while ago so I might not have enough brain cells to put the pieces together.

The Rebel Alliance's Mid Rim Offensive reminds me alot of the Tet Offensive in 1968 by the Vietcong and NVA although the Tet Offensive achieved some success against U.S. and South Vietnamese froces the Vietcong and NVA were eventually pushed back to North Vietnam. Just like how Rebels achieved some success in the Mid Rim in capturing Imperial Worlds but were eventually forced to retreat from the Mid Rim once the Empire's reinforcements arrived which led to a cat and mouse game between the Empire and the Rebels which eventually led to the Battle of Hoth

The Airborne units were not Pathfinders there's actually a unit called Pathfinder unit which they don't have anymore I would know I served for 4 years in a rapid deployment unit

Stay far from the front line and don't bum rush

Special forces units are supposed to be the MOST experienced and usually the DEADLIEST AND BEST fighters a force has.. doesn't matter if your outnumbered if you fight better then your enemy. An a transport pilot.. I'd likened it to a public transportation bus over a civilians mini van. As Van's are faster an alot more maneuverable. Bet if you DID get that Rebel Transport to a decent speed if it's so poor at moving I imagine when it IS moving it's hard to control

I'd say rather than describe as spec ops... sounds more like most rebel infantry were guerrillas like the KLA or Pershmerga.

They didn't bother with Dathomir much because it was had one of the heaviest Imperial Presences outside of the Core Worlds. Palpatine was taking no chances in making sure the witches stayed on the planet.

Same job description. Pathfinders are SpecForce, 2nd regiment of each division. Basically scout + commando. Wilderness fighters have a similar training but mostly commando. Mobile infantry is the usual run and shoot. At least how I see it.

No not really mobile infantry are the basic grunts of the army Spec Force Pathfinders are the dudes in Rogue One scouts who establish a beachhead for the main force. Wilderness Fighter were the dudes used at Endor they are trained to fight in a variety of different environments with a specialization for a particular environment.

@@TheStarshipdriver Well the thing with Rex was mostly a fan theory. The EU had him be a separate character and established that the Endor Team were all volunteers mostly veterans from Hoth who were attached to Alliance High Command.

The Empire, TIE Fighter Pilot you are in a flying coffin. No life support, ejector seat, shields, not even landing gear. The Rebels Sector Forces, no backup, no rescue, no resources and what few you have can be taken at a moments notice.

Call me a cynic but I believe you the position of cook would fall into that next to impossible positions between the lack of supplies and the wide variety of species you have to cook for I believe that would be one hair racing job or better put one job that has a very very short life expectancy

What’s the difference between Star Wars galaxy and Milky Way galaxy?why they fly like airplanes? Why we don’t have force?

Nah Sector Forces. You are more than likely on a shoestring budget and there is a chance the main Rebel Alliance will take what you have for their needs. Also the stuff is plain suicidal you have no backup no bases to retreat to if your main one is attacked. No rescue.

I don’t know about the rebel alliance but I know the worst job in the separatist army
