Loved this video. Very calming and motivating. I did feel compelled to tell you that Tim Holt has advised that alcohol inks should never be blown with your mouth using a straw. The inks have an ingredient that can be injurious to your lungs. Thanks for all the beauty you bring to us!

Really great cards Cathy. Thank you for sharing so many techniques. Another idea for the alcohol lift ink- after you lift off some of the ink with the foam tool, put that color down over another stencil on another paper. Or even just put the ink on a piece of paper & use it to die cut something. Get a twofer with it. You’ve inspired me to get out some stencils to play. Thank you!!

Yes, you need them! Affordable and versatile!

The alcohol lift ink with a stencil is cool. Using a straw to blow alcohol ink around, not so much. Using alcohol inks create fumes that shouldn't be inhaled (and using a straw increases the chances). Good ventilation helps, but serious sessions with alcohol inks should probably include a fancy protective mask against fumes.

Nice! I too noticed how appropo it was for u to use the wine sentiments on the alcohol ink background. And that Dark Matter glitter paste? Ohh la la! It’s on my Simon wish list now (it would be in my cart but it’s out of stock now - no doubt because of your vid :). Thanks for the booping good time Cathy!

Cathy certainly made is all crave stencils to use. I am curious how Cathy got the dry embossed piece to stay embossed, when she cut the panel out of the middle? It always feels like it flattens it out when I try to cut anything out of a dry embossed piece. I would have had to ink blend on the stencil, then use it for dry embossing. Not sure if that makes sense. I have truly embraced the simple but cute card trend after watching Cathy and Kristina. Which is awesome when you have challenged yourself to make 5000 cards this year for cancer patients. I am such a fan of these ladies.

May I ask what the sandwich is to dry emboss with the Gemini, that’s all I have?

Hi Kathy! Great video! Thank you! I love the Pixie Spray but I had some trouble with it when I attempted to emboss my card. The pixie spray left my card a bit sticky and the embossing powder stuck where I didn't want it to and made the card look dirty. Any tips? Thanks!

Did running it thru the machine to trim the panel flatten out the dry embossed dots?

On the dots cards does the dot embossing flatten out when you run it through again to cut out the rectangle?

I just bought those holders, from Make it by Marko on Etsy. They’re a good price & I received mine today. Very happy with them. And they’re designed to fit almost all of the brushes. I think there was one company whose brushes don’t fit in the holders. But they have them listed on the Etsy shop.
