Kristina, I had to stop the video and comment, the second panel was absolutely gorgeous! You are a master at blending. I am sure I have seen some many of these techniques before, however it was such an amazing video with a wide variety of different things to get my oxides out and try again. Love it Sweet girl. I'm a Utah girl also living temporarily in N.W.MONTANA. way too cold here. Not as many sunny days as Utah. I was in Bountiful up against the mountain. Saving this vid to repeat the effects on my projects.

Very, very cool video and techniques. I especially loved the one with the flowers though all are great. The use of the micro glaze to get rid of the chalkiness of the Oxides really blew me away.

Outstanding! I tried the Distress Resist spray and found out that my nozzle was only giving me a stream. Replaced the entire spray mechanism and it was fine. All of your work, Kristina, was simply beautiful! Thank you for all the tips on ink blending, which I struggle with!

Ditto for the resist spray and the distress micro glaze. I've had them forever and didn't remember what I could do with them.

I've actually have done the Alcohol Paper trick with the Destress Oxide Inks and the Destress Glaze! I thought ok this works with the Alcohol Inks so I'm trying the Destress Oxide Inks, with using Destress Oxide Inks I always put the Glaze on top of the finished card to hold in the ink without destroying my cardand I was blown away❤😊❣ But me being a Nobody I didn't know how to post it. Kristen all of ideas are so Amazing and beautiful cards! You totally inspire me all the time. Thank You so much for sharing with all of us. This video is one of the best ever for me. I was clueless as to their properties and the many ideas. Thank you so very much. I love the ink in itself and have them all. I guess the only thing I really figured out for myself was that they need to be juicy! Can't wait to try all these ways and I think I have to allow an entire day with phones off and doors locked! LOL

I’ve done the same technique on photo paper and the chalkiness just wipes off with a tissue and leaves the same effect in the end. You really don’t need the Micro Glaze. 💕🌸💕

Thank you for the tip on using photo paper. I didn't have the alcohol ink paper, but I do have the Distress Micro Glaze. I tried it with and without the glaze. It comes out more lustrous with the glaze, I think. I'm psyched you can use photo paper though.

@@bookgoddess Yes…I’ve seen videos on using distress oxides on photo paper and it works GREAT. I have the glaze too…I purchased it before I knew about the photo paper. But I’ve also heard it doesn’t work on all photo paper, but it works on mine. I make my background and when completed I just buff it with a tissue and it’s awesome!!! 💕

Keep a eye open in thrift stores. There are usually lots of photo paper packs in the office section.

VERY cool! On the gel press I could see you were channeling your inner Braque. All the techniques were cool and I even like the one I thought I wasn't going to like but of course it was terrific by the time you were done too (the floral background). beautiful as always. I saw a lady do the technique of wiping down the color on gloss cardstock. It's amazing the difference in the look isn't it? Sometimes I just prefer doing my oxides on gloss cardstock. It's just amazing to me the difference between pieces when you polish one up.

You make me love my Distress Oxides even more. Definitely going to try out glossy paper with glaze and always love your blending. Gel press with inks is so much fun, I love making backgrounds with these techniques.
