Incredibly helpful tips, thank you!! One tip I have for avoiding exhaustion from long retightening sessions: “perpetual retights!” Every evening while watching TV or reading or chatting with someone, my fingers are always running through my hair because I love the feel of my locs. Whenever I come across one that has more than 1/2 inch or so of new growth, I retighten it! That means I’m just doing a few or several locs any given day. To avoid stress & damage to my root base, I make sure the rotations do not get too snug to my scalp. Doing a few a day at my leisure keeps me from getting tired, I don’t have to set aside any large chunks of time to get it done, and my locs always look fresh! Hope this helps someone. I have arthritis in my hands, and mild medical conditions that often affect my stamina, so doing my locs this way has really helped me.

Thank you so much for sharing this video of your journey so far. This is the most useful video on micro locs that I have seen on KZread and now I feel confident to go ahead and start my own. Like you I have always done my own hair and here in London it cost between £600-£700 to do sister locs or micro locs but now I can start my own and I’m so excited. So please continue to share your journey as you are the teacher and I am the apprentice. Thank you so much

Your first tip was life. I did my installation last month and I was going to put a system with mirror like I was doing when I was younger. But I love you suggestion best. I was already planning on a 2 point rotation but more so for the volume. However, I would be scared to wait more than 2 months. With tiny locs, I feel like everything would be mated Et take more time. Thank you for this awesome video!!!

I've had micro locs twice. 2 years each time. The interlocking method is too much for me but I'm too tender headed to use a loctician and I just like to do my own hair. I have a pixie cut now but when it grows out I'm going to loc it again and use your 2 strand retwisting method. 🤞😊 Maybe 3rd times a charm!

Thanks I guess I thought it was common knowledge since this is how all you-tubers shoot and record their videos, on my first installation video I got a lot of questions about which app I used to connect my phone to tv so I figured I do a video to help with that, I just now saw Bindi's video, had never seen it before and she did shoot it from her digital camera but if you watched my video you will see how I specifically explained to use different apps and a phone camera since its the most convenient for everyone. Thanks for watching 💕.

Bindi didn't invent the hack it's been around since the beginning of cameras just as much as in this video she didn't invent the apps or softwares for screen sharing they have been around, She can't demand people to give her credit for sharing information that is already public and used daily by so many people, she merely shared a tip for connecting a phone to her tv and computer which can be useful in so many ways, She didn't claim she invented it nor did she claim she owned the apps. Can we stop with the credit shaming 😪.

@@shanialee7361 I didn't shame anyone. I said she should give her credit if she saw it there first. If not, cool. And, as far as I know, BindiMarc didn't demand anything. Of course people use cameras for many things, but I've only ever seen BindiMarc use it for retightening locs. She may or may not have been the first, but if the idea came from her (or some other KZreadr), it would certainly be a nice thing to give her credit.
