And again, Oscar provides the most REAL perspective on what detailing is actually like. It's always nice to know there are others suffering through the same obstacles in this industry. I'll add; one of the worst feelings is forgetting headphones knowing you've got a paint correction or two back-to-back interior details. Nothing worse than having to listen to a vacuum, compressed air or polisher for six hours.

Weather is probably one of the major factors for mobile detailing, bathroom breaks 9 out of 10 customers always offer, space for detailing hasn’t been an issue for us, travel time is always 30 to 1 hour depending on traffic conditions, misshape I try to check everything every night before the detailing in the morning including checking our Van

100% agree, there’s honestly absolutely nothing wrong with asking the customer to use their restroom. 90% of the time they offer water or bathroom first.

Can't agree more on this reality! Crowded and tight spaces are a huge distraction and are very uncomfortable. Thank You.

Being in the middle of a mobile detail and then coming down with a case of the Hershey Squirts is one of the worst things ever. If the customer is a regular and I know them well enough to have an embarrassing conversation, I will ask if I can come back the next day. Saying that, I always keep a box of Immodium in the truck in case on of us have that issue. If you take several of them after the first squirt, that will usually solve the issue.

I haven’t watched the video yet but I would say the main issues I ran into before acquiring a shop space were: weather, parking, having to rush the job because of clients, high gas prices, setup and take down. Looking forward to seeing your reasons.

Invisible glass or spray away works wonders on the outside. One towel to wipe one towel to buff off. usually on the front windshield, there is a layer of oil that can't be taken away with glass cleaner. you have to use a degreaser, alcohol, or vinegar to get rid of it.

Hey oscar, i signed up for 14 day free trial for jobber today and they charged my 20 dollars today? Thought they charge you at the end of the 14 day free trial. I canceled same day, they saying no charge but when i cancelled, they said no refunds? I just started free trial, why are they charging me. Is this the type of stuff you promote oscar. People being lied to and then ripped off because Jobber just ripped me off.

He says it whenever he says something akin to "That's what she said". Like a comment saying "If your hose busts" or "It's too big". Pause is something someone says after saying a potential innuendo that someone can be like "Hold up. Pause. What did you just say?". Haha! Hope that makes sense. It's a generational saying these days. Not really something I grew up saying. I just know what it means.

I've been at this for quite a while now, and mobile detailing never interested me. I often go and pick up customer vehicles, bring them to my shop, and then return them, but taking my shop to them never seemed to make sense to me.

I just started a pressure washing business at the beginning of the year, still part time but one thing that no one will ever tell you is how hard it is to get a push start. Like for real everybody just thinks they can hop into soemthing and a month from now be balling. Rough fucking start to anything if you're alone and not having a loan or daddy and mommy money.
