The deflection of a simply supported beam with a point load is PL^3/48EI and not PL^4/84EI
good work. unintentional mistakes are a part of this job. very well done.
Simple supported beam, carrying point load, deflection= pl³/48EI
You have the most common deflection for a point load mid span wrong. Don’t quote that in an interview. Def=PL^3/(48EI)
Good information. Thank you.
Very impressive thank you very much for the good work. Could you please make a video about checking the deflection of steel beam!

Happy to help
Please correct the value in calculating deflection for simply supported beam. It's 48 or 84
Point load deflection equation is wrong. It’s is PL^3/48EI
Good one
Isn't the steel characteristic strength fck factor of safety already accounted for from the stress block that gives rise to 0.87 in the steel formula for reinforcement area required?
Please guide me how to animate all equations and structural elements and it's behaviour.
Best channel ever.. Thank you guys🎉🎉

@@StructuralEngineerCalcs, is it possible to do a video about the steps in designing any foundation: presizing, loads, sls, uls, reinforcment. (according to Eurocode?). Thank you! God bless!

@@bogdangavril448 Thank you for your suggestion! We will consider creating a video on the steps in designing a foundation according to EN BS in the future. In the meantime, we hope our other videos will be helpful & informative. Thank you again for your suggestion. God bless!
i can’t know how the connection fix or pin in the desgin should i chose the type of connection or what?
In simply supported beam with point load at mid span deflection value pls check

yes it has to be 48*E*I
sir please give us calculation of an isolated footing for tension and eccentric footing
1:44 how did you derive that equation ??especially how did the 0.87 came out ?is it a safety-factor or something ??

I think there might be a very subtle error in that equation for RC flexural design as the material factor of 1/1.15 is being double counted on the denominator. It is being used to factor down the steel yield stress to 435 even though it has already featured in its decimal form as 0.87. Would *yield* conservative design though so not such a bad thing for a back-of-a-fag-packet assessment! ;-)

Best thing I found in your narrative is you never go into Judgements like Correct, Wrong, Mistake, Incorrect etc.

Thank you for your kind words! We are glad that you appreciate our approach to presenting information in a neutral & unbiased way. Our goal is to provide clear & accurate explanations of structural engineering concepts, without making value judgments about whether something is "correct" or "incorrect". We believe that this approach helps to promote a more inclusive & welcoming learning environment, & we will continue to strive to present information in this way in all of our videos. Thank you for watching, & we hope that you continue to find our tutorials helpful and informative..

Here in Colombia there is a simpler equation to calculate steel area in concrete sections, is this, A=3M/d, Momento in kN.m and d in cm, it gives you area in cm2
