Your creative energy and passion is really inspiring..but you know sometimes you should take a complete break...no productive thinking at all...enjoy the small moments happening around you..you are always seeing through the lenses or behind them...this is how life goes by...so take complete breaks from time to time...no knits no camera no preoccupied plans...😊❤

Kika, you have changed my life in the last few weeks❤ I started knitting a few months ago and then I discovered your KZread channel and I listen/look and your videos everyday while I work and then after work I go into my knitting🧶 You give me such a great vibe and I love seeing someone that has the same passion for knitting that I have ever since I discover it. I've learned a lot from you and not just for knitting but also the way I see the world and about how I want to live my live. So thank you and keep doing videos ♾

Playfulness deserves more recognition! I find that often people misunderstand it for naivetè when it really isn't. My n°1 trick for getting inspired: taking a nap! When I feel overwhelmed, it's what helps me the most to disconnect and get a fresh start.

I’ve recently relocated to Switzerland from South Africa and I don’t have any friends or family around me now, so by listening to you it brings real joy to my life. Thank you so much 🙏 I have also purchased your book and I’m loving your patterns. Keep the joy 😅 Kathryn 🤗🩷🌸

Great ideas! I was so inspired by the thought 💭 of white space that I paused the video and sat with my plants 🪴 🌱! 😉. It is so easy to get caught up with social media that your mind becomes jumbled. Thank you for another wonderful video. I came back after my break to watch the video and I felt refreshed! 🤗

Those were some great tips! I really appreciate the last one about fresh starts. It’s fun to think of how many fresh starts I might be able to make in my day. I think having. Few knits on the needles helps me too! Thanks KiKa! Hope you and your family are very well❤

I’m like you. I feel guilty if I don't move mountains each day. A self destructive habit. I read a book that was very inspiring. It said to make yourself an Art Date at least once a week to garner inspiration . For me it’s visiting thrift shops, used book stores and gift shops in touristy areas. That’s usually when I wish I could teletransport straight home so I can start a project.

Thanks for your fun and uplifting video! My tip for getting inspired: make sure you sleep well. If I feel really uninspired, that usually is because I'm tired. It helps to accept that in the moment and try again when I had a good night (or two) of sleep.

When I hit a bit of a block I'll take a day off from knitting and crochet and use that time to organize my yarns or rearrange my craft area, not only is it so satisfying to have everything neat and tidy and in its place, I'll often rediscover yarn that I had forgotten I had and that always boosts my creativity. P.S. I just purchased your beautiful book and cannot wait to start knitting your wonderful patterns. Haven't decided which to start with yet, but I'll get there.

Whenever I need inspiration, I sing to God, worship Him; or I get fresh air, or study new, fun things. I will definitely try your exercise suggestion! I don't think people generally put enough stock in the fact that exercising introduces different chemicals in our brain.

Hey Kika! Loved this video! For inspiration sometimes for myself, it's getting out and doing something that has nothing to do with knit or crochet... Luke taking a workshop or class in ceramics, painting. And actually it sounds a little crazy but I took my motorcycle training last fall and after that it blazed my creativity and inspiration into something else! And I also feel and totally agree with the movement aspect. If I don't get movement and a vigorous workout in, I feel stagnant. Looking forward to reading what else inspires people too! 💛

The tubular/italian bind off doesn't get that bulky if you skip the 2 or 4 rows with slipped stiches and just start binding off with a needle right after ribbing. 😊 Ps. Also looking forward to getting that book in my hands! 😍

One of the things I often do in my writing and art is to turn it upside down. I suppose it is a bit like changing your position. I just turn the situation around or literally turn my work upside down, to switch up my perspective. Loved your video. Thanks.

I like your videos and I really like your less simple makes, especially what you showed of your old makes. I fully understand there are young ones Who are eager to learn because knitting is finally back on trend. You cannot imagin how we older women have felt it sad in the 80s and 90s to hide we loved knitting, in France at least. I love watching you, silje (silje knits) or knitting traditions or mell makes things or littlehumanknits.

If you are creative for a living, I think it's really helpful to have hobbies that aren't related to your work. Whenever I get burned out on knitting there's always drawing, music, dance, photography, writing, etc- switching up the creative outlet can be a great way to get the inspiration flowing again and you never know how it might influence your main craft!

This was a great video and precisely what I needed just now. A long walk has been very helpful to me or even a short one to clear my head. I love your sense of style and love that blue sweater. Yes, please write up the pattern! Lastly, do you have "barber cords"? They are the ideal solution for a broken needle and then you can reattach your new needle to the other end and voila, you are back in business, as they say!

Hi Kika, I love your videos. I just learned how to knit a couple of weeks ago by watching your videos. One thing knitting KZread channels don't talk much about is men's sweaters. I know that most knitted sweaters may be considered unisex, but are there things you would do, or things you might avoid when knitting a men's sweater? I'm afraid of spending months knitting a sweater then have it come out to frilly, or just something that is clearly women's fashion. p.s. I stay inspired by stepping away so that I can think about my projects without them in front of me. Some of my best ideas come when I am out of the house wishing I was at home working on them. Abraham

Thats what i was thinking cause l go thru' times knowing God is looking out for me.Like i did a test last week and l sat down and just had a feeling should look up somethings before i do a quiz to test my knowledge then qualified for the test and its easy but if your doing this in a foreign language it can be tricky. After the test i thought all the things i looked up were all in the test without that impulse i would have less points.
