Thank you!
You could condense all this into one important rule about music: The key secret to keeping the listener / brain engaged is creating CONTRAST.
This channel is amazing. You do a great job of staying focused on the element you're teaching. The simple act of first soloing out channels so the technique you're emphasizing comes through first in isolation prior to demonstrating the same technique within the context of the mix does wonders for educational clarity. It's so refreshing too, watching someone with an active/successful music presence. Most channels have good information but they aren't producing music that is catching, so the information lacks accurate application within a successful context.
I am always a big fan of chorus. I get crazy creative when I use them on my tracks. Thanks for the tips!
All such subtle changes, add up to BOOM! Love it Austin, thanks again!

Drop was epic austin brother hope we a breakdown video of that 😜🤭 plzzzz 🥺
Hey Austin, would love a video on vocal effects, like how the weeknd does pitch downs in adlibs and underlying stacks, or even travis scotts type pitch downs. It seems they don't always just pitch down or up an octave which creates a cool sound. Anyways, vocal effects would be a cool video.

Play around with formant / throat length to give vocals that weird texture without changing the actual note 😁

Ey Austin how get in contact to mix quote.
brilliant vid as always! !One question? How do you get them chorus synths popping in and out with such power. Is it simply sidechaining or do you automate volume? its such a popular style / effect at the moment. would love a tutorial on how to do this. Thanks ;-)
@MakePopMusic

Layering the synths up in the chorus and volume automation to make them louder in the chorus (: Also, intentionally making them a little smaller in the verse (making them more narrow, cutting out some high end, simplifying the chord voicing, etc), and then expanding on that in the chorus.
those drums at 3:06 are FIRE!!! any way you can include them as a loop in a sample pack ?
@MakePopMusic
2 жыл бұрын
They are all from Echo Sound Works' pack "Grey"! :D
What I thought is it could be like "A little bit dirty in the verse, very clean in the chorus" gotta try it myself.
Btw which song is this.....? Im craving so much for it 🥺🥺❣️

Hey Austin, i actually have a personal question, your production quality is on par if not better than top50 billboard. I'm wondering why didn't you pursue Artist route? I mean i do know you upload songs to spotify but is it just because you prefer educational content more? Love your contents very much and learned alot from you, Thank you!!!
@MakePopMusic
2 жыл бұрын
Hey! I don't pursue being an artist seriously because I really don't want to tour and be a super public face. I am a full time songwriter and producer so I get to work on tons of amazing music, make a very comfortable living, meet amazing people, have a good work/life balance, and run MPM on the side!
