I've started drawing people in public a week ago, and I've realized two things. 1. Don't be a perfectionist. 2. You don't need as much details as possible. Then I came across your channel which helped me more.

There are no mistakes!! Just keep sketching!
Thank you, Scottie. These are great tips, especially about working small. I am a shy sketcher, so it’s easier to sketch small in public.

thanks Stephanie! Yes I find it easier to glance around and sketch 5 people quickly than focus on one person the whole time and hope they don’t feel uncomfortable haha.

i've been struggling with sketching people outside because i tend to go into too much detail, it seems! can't wait to use your amazing tips on practice! will try a roller pen, too, I'm not too happy with liners

Moleskin what a load of Ponces. I use an ordinary sketch book because of Price. Thank you for sharing your talents
Your videos are very inspiring! of course, we need to work very hard to catch the line like this, especially when a person is on the move, we need to remember the line and reproduce 🙏 Thank you a lot

That’s right Ana! 🤗
Your tutorial videos on sketching are great 👍. I had a hard time sketching people that did not look wonky. Since I started watching your videos, they look very decent😃. Many thanks

Hi Scottie another great vlog thanks heaps … just wondering … do you do the urban sketching fun your own enjoyment or do you paint then sell them. 😊

Do you find the Sakura tip to be too square? I like the look of your current pen. Love your vids.
@SketchingScottie
Жыл бұрын
Thanks Susan! The Sakura pen feels sharp on the paper compared to the others so it might be. I mostly just find it frustrating when the tip slowly goes back into the shaft and my line quality changes 😊. But it might be that I press too hard haha
