IMPORTANT: Unfortunately, I won’t be responding to Instagram messages anymore. I hope you guys understand. It’s not an easy thing for me to have to say. Back when I first started my channel I had very little subscribers so this was something I could do easily but now as my channel has grown and that I’m a mother to two very young children, it’s impossible for me to respond to everyone. I currently have 92 unread messages in my inbox and that’s only from last week. I’ve also been getting a lot of rude and hurtful messages of people saying that I’m fake because I’m not responding or sending me message after message demanding for my attention. It’s been getting me so down and people have said some horrible things. I know how it feels when you’re desperate. Truly, I do. I’ve been there and it’s sucks. But please remember I am just one person. A lot of people are also asking me for medical advice but please remember I am not a doctor. I’m just like you. If you want to get in touch, I offer health anxiety talking sessions which you can book here - cherellethinks.setmore.com I also have a health anxiety support page on Facebook that I interact with a lot. Just type in ‘Health Anxiety Community’ and you should find it. Lastly, I also do regular Q&A’s on my Instagram too where I can answer any questions people may have. I hope you understand and it’s never my intention to upset anyone. There just isn’t enough hours in the day. Thanks so much. X

I have to say that I was freaking out when I was awakened by my leg muscle twitching at 230 am. They were strong. They lasted 8 hours and I prayed and they literally stopped after prayer. I googled my symptoms and ALS or MS could be the culprit. I looked further as to what causes twitches and the culprit without being ALS or MS is stress, which I have been, anxiety, which I also have, lack of sleep, which I also don’t get the best, dehydration, which I don’t drink a lot of water, and finally coffee which I drink a lot of....and I watched your channel. Thanks for reassuring me. You’re awesome. Now I don’t even pay much attention to my twitches. It can be a vicious cycle. God is good all the time.

I don't even need to google anymore. Even if I see one symptom, I worry it's somehow cancer-related. The fact that it's winter and the fact that I have problems with my skin at this time of the year doesn't help. Twitches and heart palpitations don't bother me that much.

Oh, my health anxiety literally skyrocketed last June when I, for whatever reason, googled enlarged lymph nodes! Since then, it's been hell. Heart palpitations (then I had two ECGs and even echo to rule out any obvious problems), difficulty breathing, I started losing weight (hun, your appetite literally disappears after major panic attacks, of course you're gonna lose some weight), I've been in this trap of "is this headache gonna be a brain aneurysm / this lymph node under my armpit is definitely killing me / why do I keep getting bruises on my legs out of nowhere? / why my heart keeps beating strangely, am I gonna drop dead any minute? / what are these weird marks on my skin and I don't remember these moles / what is these slight shooting pains in my lower right abdomen" for months now. Jeez, if I went to doctors any time I sense something "weird" or "scary" or "unusual", I'd be left with empty pockets. I'm still trying to figure out how to trust myself and my body. I haven't googled anything since last summer, so at least it's a small win

Really is a never-ending battle between what we know intellectually and what we feel emotionally. The most ancient part of our brain that is intended to Keep Us Alive seems to always have an initial edge until we can allow our rational mind to kick in through relaxation techniques and if necessary reassurance. Google tells you everything and nothing all at the same time.

I suffered from a severe autoimmune reaction that was triggered by my anxiety. Googling was helpful in some ways to help me find alternative approaches to healing, but it’s far too easy to go down the rabbit hole spending HOURS reading online about what may or may not wrong with my body. And it can make one feel hopeless, like they’re never going to get better.
