5 Tips on Winning Your First Hackathon

Hackathons can be very daunting. I hope that with my video you are able to get rid of any fears of attending hackathons and jump into your first hackathon experience. In this video, I explain my 5 top tips on winning your first hackathon. I personally love going to hackathons. I've been to Techcrunch Distrupt, Reactathon, Developer Week, Chime Hack, and many more. I was lucky enough to win 4 out the many hackathons I went to and our team won over $20,000 in prizes so far. I hope you have as much luck as I have and go for it. Most of these ideas should be actionable so I wish you all the best of luck.

Great tips 👍. After 15 years of coding professionally, I still try to do a hackathon every month, I am confident to say I am still learning and enjoy meeting amazing people - I haven’t used a recruiter in many years, networking is important. I recently started vlogging my hackathons 🤓

Nice video, I wonder that prototype should be functioning (well programed ) or it can be a conceptually present ?

would it be a good idea to ditch the backend part and just make some fake File file or functionality that acts as a Rest Api? i think if no one snoops into my code it would save me a-lot of time and i could focus more on the frontend.
