Do not openly tell your probation officer you drink or smoke, that very dumb. They get paid for you being there buddy. Talk to a doctor or anything else, don't take yo azz to that office thinking you bout to get "HELP" .

You can use ANY drug as long as you have a doctor's prescription, even for weed. If a doctor prescribes medical Marijuana that is medically necessary and you paid the state for a card. They cannot stop you from using nor revoke it. It is NOT a reward/privilege system for the courts to manipulate.

One thing I never expected when I went on supervised release was how much I genuinely cared about my PO. He was a solid man that never talked down to me, was the first person up to bat for me, straight shooter. He was always willing to sit down and talk to me and reassure and encourage me. Helped me so much. When he retired I literally cried. I still send him Christmas Cards. His replacement arrested me and tried to send me back over some petty stuff. Total opposite, so I have had both. My newest one seems OK.

Hi I’m so glad I found your videos but I a question. I was on pretrial release and did everything I was supposed to do no problem I have now been sentenced to no time but 3 years probation. I have a full time job I am clean of thc and stay out of trouble I have a fiancé and 2 step children in Mexico that I have not seen for 5 months and it has been very hard I want to ask for permission to go see them for my youngest birthday since I missed a birthday and our first Christmas together but I am nervous. I had no prior criminal history this is my first offense but it was a level 2 felony. I just really miss my family and this has been hard for all of us. Also my probation is in San Diego, California

When you work this job, do you feel like you have to keep yourself guarded against disappointment? I imagine a lot of probationers fail, but am i wrong? Is it more fulfillment than disappointment? In any case, thank you for your service to your community. It's amazing to see someone willing to go into a job like this with enthusiasm and positivity.

In my case I was in hospital for a pinch nerve in my lower back area . I couldn't even get up or walk..I was put on bed rest for the day with medication. I get a call from my PO telling me that I need to come in and piss test. I told her that I couldn't get up I just got out of hospital and the doctor put me on bed rest.. she said i was refusing to come in to drug test...she state that I was in violation of probation.. so the next day she shows up at my residents from what i was told by my neighbor they were trying to break in my house while i was knock out on pain pills.. my po and they officers were here for more then 60 minutes .. after 60 minutes they had to leave the resident if they don't have a probable cause or they suspect somebody's inside the house . But if they don't that's called illegal search and seizure and harassment..

my po was great the last two times don't know if ill get her again i was off probation but blew a tire and was headed to the tire shop when going to the tire shop to get a new tire. when i got pulled over to have a way to work. i had no friends or family to take me but my fault for driving on suspended license but only choice i had to keep supporting me and my mother. which is more important family or laws?

I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm sorry that the system broke you brother, to pin the wrong doing on you instead of blaming a tyrant government that forces people to be put in behavior institutions. Kind of like what cult leaders do to program their followers.

I been on probation for a month n haven’t been tested yet. When I was on emp and crp I was coming out positive but it seemed they didn’t care only in court the judge told me stop smoking. I know other people on probation were both under 18 that come out positive and there po only gives them counseling. I’m from cali n been smoking I have a test tmmro n I was jus wondering what my po would do when out positive and if it’s even possible to smoke and come out positive through ur whole probation term.

My Son has been jailed for drugs after being put on probation. He has been in and out of rehabs for about the last 7 years. He is currently on a PO hold and was told that he would be there until a bed is available which would be in a few weeks. My Son is still waiting as he is on medication in jail and has mental problems. Whenever I call to speak to the Probation Officer he is very short with me, I asked him when a bed would be available for my Son, his answer was "He already has a bed" very cold answer. My question is, What information can a Probation Officer give to his clients family member? My Son need medical attention.

I went to jail back in April of 2023 and was out on probation and it Changed my life! I have Stayed Clean, I attend a Drug program ,Do my part to stay Clean so My P.O. Shows the same Gratitude and respect as an adult living in an imperfect Society to Pay attention but not intrude on my life Because She\He sees positive Change!I promise all P.O.are not Bad people! They have a job to do,so do your part and this can be a positive experience!😊

I am so glad I found your channel. My son's father is on Intensive Supervised Probation and has been pissing dirty for meth and alcohol for a month and his probation officer has not given him any violations and each meeting is just a "here's some resources, make better choices." And he goes straight back to using meth that night. She is aware of this and does nothing. What should I do? He's dwindling away before my eyes .....

It's highly likely that he will soon face court action soon. Meth is a hard drug to beat if the person isn't ready to change. He may need some tough love from you. Unfortunately, P.O.s can't force a person to get treatment, but the judge can.

However, if a person is on an intensive probation and continually getting to keep using a dangerous drug like meth with zero consequence, what is the point of probation? She has the power to say, check in to a detox or there will be a warrant for your arrest. He's been on this probation for 10 months and stayed sober for 3 months out of those 10. And that was because he was in a sober house facility. Something seems very off to me. As an outsider, it looks like probation is really nothing to answer to. Not meaning to sound harsh.

Wow do they send a person to watch you pee , I need to know , why they so hard on someone I care about . Because when does it take 2 people to watch you go to the restroom no I hate halifax nc sorry I have my reasons it's a crime oh well.

I got to test before my 2 days of community service and have been stressing about legally being on suboxone. Almost been wanting to go through the hell of withdrawl before go see him.

I’m not even suppose to be on probation fr I been on for a week I’m suppose to do a year, 6 months if I pay off early is it a way I can get off sooner I’m tryna hit a recruiting station but ts in the way…

But what if they don’t report it? Multiple times?

I wish I had one probation officer that actually wanted me to succeed the one I have in Johnson county wants me to fail and tries whatever she can to get me to fail and do time. I have been sober 100 percent clean and staying out of trouble and they still add extra stuff to make it harder

I had 2 full time jobs and a super nice place to live . but the new county I moved to refused to take my case like many others due to them not wanting out side cases that they are only supervising there is no$ in it for them. SOO I was forced to quit both my jobs and leave my place to live to go back to the county 1 mile from Mexico border and that it is ok if im homeless here because they can supervise me homeless here but they cant supervise me where I was doing great . i was originally placed on probation where I have nothing no fam no friends no vehicle. I am now homeless and jobless trying to get the terms of my probation modified ....

When i met my probation officer i followed her home. When we made the next appointments to meet her i showed up at her home that morning. There was some issues with the police being called from that but she never asked me for a drug test after that incident.

My probation in weakley county Tennessee is so bad I was told the first day that I was going to be locked up for failure to make a payment I didn't understand because I was in the process of getting disability an have medical complications from the wreck but even telling them this made her mad and aggressive bye the way of being told she don't care an doesn't make exception for no one an I had untill 4 pm to produce the money or get the vop .so I had to scramble around an find the money which doing so put me in debt with others when you're struggling already isn't right to do to people disabled I'm lost in what I should do

Not sure why or how but I managed to be hit and miss for TCH the whole 5 years. I failed so many times I should have went to jail but they just kept on testing and that was it.

What can you do to if you want to have paid a probation for a family member cause you are so tried of the person doesn’t do the right thing while staying with you until thief court date. If you don’t have the money to pay the fees up front or can you a payment plan to pay the extra fees

I think that your Chanel is awsome. I am done with my probation but one event bothers me up today. My probation forced me to meet at his office with private investigators from some company, and they forced him to be present during interview. Knowing that it was violation of my rights I refused to talk to them and left. My question is - why did probation officer organize it without letting me know to bring a attorney or just to be ready? Should I report it to someone authority. Was ok that he forced me to miss one day of work ( no possibility of rescheduling because the schedule of private investigators)? Should I do something?

It's a condition of probation to report to your P.O. as directed. So technically that isn't an issue. But the whole situation sounds kinda messed up. I understand how u feel

@@YourFavoritePO I always reported to him on time, but this one time, for 10 days he hadn’t answered my phone calls and emails. I ended up calling his supervisor, because I thought that he was sick. My point was - why you force me to miss day of work (Wednesday) if every Monday I am off. Listen, but this is small issue, what’s about organizing meeting with private investigators at probation office without attorney present. I had an impression that theses private investigators wanted me to be arrested. I refused to talk, I left.- still up to day, no charges

I have a question. I had two outside contact visit that I wasn’t home. Evening and early morning. What’s happens if they can’t make outside contact? I work a lot.

I had a p.o tell me that she didn't care if my employer fired me I need to find a way to get to the office for a checkin. I was confused as I have to have a job otherwise I will be in violation of my terms, I got out of work but due to that instance and a few other similar my hours were cut which caused another issue with being able to pay my probation fees and be able to pay my own bills... she also told me multiple times that it was her intention to inconvenience me.

my Parole officer (in the new county) after a few months told me i wasNOTHING like i was portrayed in my file, .. She told me she was not looking forward to having me on her case... But after knowing me she said i was a very plesant , kind honest woman.. i never lie... Every cop in lebanon who knew me KNOWS i dont lie steal or cheat.. but lebanon PNP said i lie and am kniving .. i was some horrible criminal that had a long history of criminal behavior and i am known to associate with drug addicts and like criminals.. Sad .. becaus truth is ... I hang out w my family and my dog.. anyway glad its over.. i see this happen ALLLL THE TIMe They LIE an deceive...and get mad if someone lies to them.. I had a job interview at the time of my appointment I missed on 12/5/23 and I did get the job but I don't wanna go to jail for getting a job. If I don't respond on 12/20/23 that means things went south but I'll let you know after my appointment if everything went good. I'm on Probation in harris county so idk if they're strict or if they will accept the reason i missed my appointment. Please Lmk asap, I don't wanna get surprised with handcuffs when I go.

I know someone that had a great probation officer and no violations for over a year while under her supervision, she went on maternity leave and got a new one that had only been doing this job for only a month, this one violated this person 4 times within a month, she kept threaening him with going back to prison, which he replied he has never been in prison, she called him stupid because he could not remember his psychiatrist and therepy couselors name, he was in a life threatening motorcycle accident and has a tramatic brain injury, which she said he was lying about. I have nver heard anything like this, it is an SIS not sure how to report this person, I understand they have a job to do, but this treatment seems uncalled for. your thoughts. they are very scared and anxiety is at its highest which already has this according to his therapist and psychiatrist, this does not help. for over a year with the other probation officer, no problems what so ever, now its miserable with this new one for this person.

Im headed to probation and I’m sure I won’t be able to stop doing drugs so should I just turn myself in and tell them to just give me the 90 days or will they let me keep smoking why on probation?

I’m pretty confused. I took supervision in Illinois, they told me I just needed to take the classes. But then they said I needed to transfer to texas. Texas seems like a strain on my life that i don’t deserve. The court said I could report from the phone but I’m not sure if social services will allow. I don’t know what to do.

I reside in Texas. Houston to be exact but the case is from Illinois. Texas is stating that there is no supervision and that I’ll be subject to random urine test, can’t leave out of state(I travel for a living) and whatever the probation officer says. My sheet doesn’t say probation well then why is texas saying that? How do I set up a consult?

Hey im on parole probation and i kinda messed up and took some stuff that can fail me and i called this morning and it said "i am required to test today" and i took the pill that can fail me yesterday. And im done doing this stuff i dont wanna get locked up so you think i can talk to my bond supervision officer and be upfront and just tell her i wont do it again and i just be around the wrong crowd and that im done doing that. I tried calling her this morning after i found out i have to test but she doesnt work till tmr so when i take my drug test today and i call tmr and be honest with her. You think its possible i can get another chance. I took my first test like a month ago and it came out negative but thats because i smoked before but if i fail this drug test will it be considered as my first fail? Yes, be honest and upfront. Tell the bond officer what you will do going forward to avoid this happening again. Have an actual plan that is specific. Like, "I blocked all the friends in my phone who I used to get pills from"

Yes she can if you are still on probation. You are subject to drug testing until the discharge date of probation

That's a great thing you are doing encouraging him to get help. Is he ready to receive help? If so, he could start by speaking with a certified drug counselor (not through the parole agency) to see treatment options.

@@YourFavoritePO no he’s not ready I don’t think he thinks he needs help I’m not sure how he has been able to get through parole clean because I do know he’s been using I feel like him being I’m probation has helped him hold the bag and a lot of things I just worried and want to help him to be able to get help

What can my son do if he is on probation and he lost his job and he's been looking for another job for the last 2 months and can't find anyone to hire him and he can't afford to pay his probation fees right now Is there anything he can do so he doesn't get a violation? He is autistic so I applied for SsI for him A few weeks ago, But I do realize that that's gonna take some time for him to get approved... Even though he was on disability as a minor but when did he turn to 18 they denied him. But I just don't want him to go back to jail just because He cannot afford to pay his fees and I am also disabled so I Can't afford to help him pay them. By the way my son I'd on probation in Harris County Texas.

I recommend he keep a list of places he is applying to, and show the officer each time he visits. That way they see he is trying

They told me 2 years probation and 75 dollar fine. Then it was a felony and $4000 fine when I can't even work due to sickness

Why can't probationers drink in their own homes once in a while when alcohol is legal? I am talking about people that rarely drink and they had no crimes involving alcohol. I just always wondered this. I know people do stupid things when drunk and probably the reason they are not allowed to be in establishments where alcohol is their main source of income. It's probably a stupid question lol but thought I would ask anyway

@@YourFavoritePO Do u only get tested once per month? & do they use ETG urine test strips? The only reason why I asked just because I've had an issue with alcohol for a while and I'm going to bring up AA meetings with my parole officer but I know I just can't quit cold turkey.

I just failed an at home alcohol breath test. I been on felony dwi probation for 6 months. Am I definitely getting my probation revoked? Or could my p.o give me a warning?

You could get a warning. If it's your first time, they usually don't revoke

@Chance Sinroll actually I told them I lost my hand held machine.. so I didn't send it to get recalibrated.. The recalibration is what would have notified them that I failed.. My machine takes automatic pictures but doesn't send the alcohol calibration..

Hello. I have a question. I'm currently studying Linguistics, but I want to get a master's degree in criminal psychology. Is that possible or do i need to have a bachelor's degree in criminal psychology as well? And can i work as a probation officer in the future if I study criminal psychology? I'm sorry if my questions are stupid 😅

Your questions are great! Yes, you can work as a probation officer with that degree. Check the prerequisites for the institution you'd like to pursue the masters degree with. 😉

🚽🚮🗑️ when your p.o. 4:30 at the office having to use number 1 on spot and the only other alternative is⛓️🔗 you get used to it especially in my case I can't get mad at anything that I put myself into that's whatever type of life you live in you need to have at least $1,000 saved to catch Bond so you don't lose your job and have to recover a job whatever you hope you're in can be a lot worse if you're not prepared

What if your PO won't ever answer your calls and actually get you set up? I've been trying for over a month, and they don't return calls OR emails! I've sent SO MANY and dropped by the office way out of the way and he never wants to just get the shit done!

Take the proof you have, (call logs, emails) and send it to the supervisor or the person above the supervisor. And be sure to call the main number for the probation office, and make sure the officer is still employed there, or if the contact information has changed for them.

Sometimes they won't send anything, but you can request it from the court. Should be ready within 2 weeks after the discharge date

I’m confused on my probation. So when I went to court and plead guilty, my attorney was able to get the DA to not require sobriety monitoring and when I had my first meeting with my P.O., she also isn’t going to require the monitoring but said that the treatment center where I have to take my classes could do UA tests on me. Does that depend on my evaluation at the center?

I failed my first drug test like 2 weeks ago. I have an appointment tomorrow and I’m still peeing dirty. If they drug test me tomorrow I’m pretty sure they’re gonna violate me. What can I expect if they do?

@@blacknrd05 i didn’t go to jail. I was upfront about having an issue w substance abuse and showed proof that I was seeking and getting help. and they gave me some time to turn the corner and make change.

It is a. Revolving door. For. Many. I done 16 years straight. Got. Put back twice. All. Because of. Crap. And I told them so. Here in Louisiana. But the two. That kept messing with me. Finally told me when the judge let me off. Who was always. Calling on me. After the. Fact. They finally. Realized I was. Towing the line

How’s it work when they test your thc level??

They send the urine to the lab. The results will show the level of THC in the sample. The next time they test it, it has to be going down by a certain percentage to show no further drug use

I can't urinate and have to do blood test. Then they do a dna test and I didn't know I had any of this shit. Not that my dna is on anything but that's frustrating after 6 months of doing fine they keep doing things stressing me out. With an anxiety disorder it's destroying me and plus it's a petty amount of a mushroom. SMH. I keep hearing people on the streets talking shit too and whatever I tell her she says I don't know and no one answers

They don't speak up against corrupt POs because they know it's their word against the PO and who will be believed. It won't be them.

We have to change that. That's why I always recommend ppl to document EVERYTHING.

Ummm. Your good love your advice buttttt. In fort bend county you bette not be upfront. They penilize you for every little thing. If you ask for help with your drug usage they will FIRST! send you to jail and put you in a worse position to lose your job spend more money for classes that just waist your time and stress you out. What's crazy is I had a few different pos that will actually tell you this, they will tell you they know the class don't work they know it makes your life much more harder and stressful tempting you to use whatever it is you was using. And they don't care as long as they are bringing the county more money. I've seen/heard judges, CO's,and po officers brag that fort bend county is the richest county in TX

Maybe ask if you can take hair follicle test, get the drug patch.

I wouldn’t take everything you say so seriously, most females are emotional and so are female probation officers. I once caught my PO speaking from feelings rather than facts and I asked a next question and she realized what she had done. Yes you speak valid points but a PO isn’t my girlfriend or my family she’s a police officer and police are not to be trusted.

I’m on probation for a non violent crime and they drug test me which I’ve failed 3 times and I’m good I believe drug tests are stupid for non drug related or non violent crimes

When you do a crime. You? Have to do the time. Probation is justephenstone of not too go to jail. It is self discipline to keep you from jail. If you report to your probation officer do what they tell you to do? You can get off early on good terms. You don't follow instructions then you have consequences. Follow your probation instructions and you can get off on good behavior. If not it is locked down season. Up 2years It's the minimum dependent on the circumstances it could be more. 1st time offender has a better chance. In getting a slap on the wrist Depending on your Team of your defender
