Still saving for a camaro myself but glad to see this video exists

I definitely want to give wrapping a small piece a try. On paper it seems really hard but after hearing you say that it wasn’t that bad, especially without having any experience, it makes me want to give it a shot.

@@EgoLifter8011 just paid 6k for a one owner, garage kept, 160k mile LT2. Bought it off an old lady whose who wanted to make space In her garage since her husband couldn’t drive it anymore. Which Is understandable after driving it a few days. I still can’t believe it’s mine lol.

How is the mileage any better than v8?

I’ve had my 2012 since 2016 and I still love it to this day, I have a Borla catback system for the exhaust, by the best sounding in the market for a V6 Camaro

I can’t wait to get mine next month 🙏🏾🔥🔥

I love my 5th Gen. can’t stop wanting to upgrade it and customize it though. It gets addictive. I’ve had it for about 9 months, and just absolutely love it!!

got a catback Borla S-type, its got a nice volume and doesnt drone, 10/10 if you want more aggressive go Borla Atak.

Just want to warn people that I bought the TOURING catback borla exhaust, without FULLY researching S-type and ATAK. It sounds better than stock, more european, and is quiet when rolling through a neighborhood, and opens up a LITTLE when throttling more aggressively, and it's GOOD for my daily driver camaro... it's just I WANT MORE SOUND!!! AND i keep wondering if the other 2 options are more powerful??

My 2021 Rs package came with the 10 speed transmission ®️ 1LT, sports suspension, sunroof with the SS 20” with the new front and back clips!! I love it

Very good Mods, Nice Car..

So I’ve got a ‘15 RS and luckily it has a quad tip valve exhaust which opens up around 3500 rpm or remains open with a fuse pull. It sounds great for a V6 - almost Italian-esque of a Maserati with some burbles and subtle pops without being “ricey”. I recommend skipping the rice mods and don’t forget you have a V6. It is what it is. Keep your car clean, suspension kit, maybe some rims, do a cold air intake and consider a chip tune. Stock the 2015 has 320 HP and with the two mentioned mods and routine maintenance I managed to dyno 388. It’s quick, NA means no lag and it revs all the way to 8K RPM. The car is thoroughly enjoyable and best part is I daily this and get 22mpg. For me this was the intro to sports cars and it’s a great stepping stone until I can afford something with more power.

No doubt the car has plenty of power but 388 i think that dyno shop is playing you. No way you get 80 horsepower from a tune on a v6.

Beautiful car i have a 2011 gonna stripe it likes yours except the transformer strips and change the exhaust. Will consider tint at some point

another tip. if you have quad exhaust pkg you probably have npp exhaust. there are youtube vidoes showing how to do this but PULL THE NPP FUSE it makes it overall louder and people are usually confused when i say its a v6 becuase of the way it sounds

Definitely going to pickup a radar detector soon, I drive a stick shift 2014 camaro and even when driving normally it's a cop magnet. just paid off a ticket this morning lol..

Uniden R1, R3 or any high uniden is great! Saved my butt many times

the damn Transformers trim

I would recommend an upgraded blend door. Blenddoorusa has an aluminum machined one to replace the oem plastic one that is guaranteed to break one day. Nearly 2k repair if you dont want to cut into your car or pull the dash, steerimg column and your windshield. This goes for all trim levels of the 5th gens. Dont know if it was still an issue with the 6th gen.

If you change the exhaust, change the intake, and get it professionally tuned.

I have a 2011 LLT V6. I Have a cat back exhaust. 2 3/4 inch pipe all the way back from the cats. I still have the factory h pipe. But no mufflers no resonators. No droning no rasping Honda sound neither.

@@NLM not gonna lie not a clue. I was just under it while removing my engine and replacing it. It has a set of Doug thorley shorty headers I have yet to weld on aswell. Scared it'll make it to obnoxious

It came with the car and the previous owner tossed the headers in the trunk for me. It's a 6 speed manual with a Hurst short throw. Not as cool as a SS But I'm young and I got it without parents help

Is the mileage any better than V8?

A wise look into modifying a Camaro. Seems as though everybody has to tinker with the engine trying to get more power. They fail to realize the more mods to the engine, the quicker the engine will wear out. Exhaust is one thing, everything else to the engine is a waste of money.

Can you show me where to get those blacked out tail lights

How did you make your Camaro bow tie emblem black ? Is there a way to do it without spray painting it ?

I used plasti dip and made a detailed video on how. There are replacement bow ties out there that are black. But my method remains in perfect condition through weather and multiple months.

Better yet just buy a $7 cutout on Amazon or eBay and tape it over the original one. No tools or removal needed. You can get it in carbon fiber or whatever color you want

I have the Flowmaster axel-back setup (single tip on each side) on my 2016 RS and it gets a lot of compliments in traffic.

Did you install that steering wheel ? Mine looks like a Chevy cruz😂😢

It’s called an “overlay” technically, but it is essentially a sticker. There are plenty of websites to buy them like Next Gen Speed for example.

Stay with stock exhaust. V6s sound good with exotic brands but not with these base model American cars. Plus, better to have people guess if it's a V8 when cruising rather than have them knowing it's a base model engine as you drive by or pull up someplace.

Air intake is the best mod for a v6… it gives you an aggressive sound and a few horse power… its hard to find an exhaust that sounds good.. the intake does sound good. And the base stereo aint that great.. amp it up.

Most radar detectors don't work anymore they pick up lane departure systems an other electronic signals on newer vehicles an give you a false report

No. They get good fuel economy and have a respectable amount of horsepower, the V6 is approx 329 (depending on year it varies a bit) if well maintained they are reliable. Ignore the douchenozzles going on about "how you should buy a V8... Etc... etc..." real car enthusiasts don't ridicule you for the vehicle you drive. Real enthusiasts respect you as you respect them. Clowns on here, have very little idea what they are talking about and only feel better by trying to make others feel small.

Those overlays are junk! I have some in red, but getting painted factory parts is better! Knee bolsters, door handles and pads! Much better!! And don't use cheap vinyl, oracle or 3mm! 👍

Sorry but most of this isn’t performance ie, MODS..WINDOW TINTING, A RADAR COME ON, that’s basic stuff you’d do to a minivan too.,lol..try blower, tune, cams shaft choices ,stuff that is directly related to the cars engine type etc…

The only mod on this list should be swap it with a V8 engine, a V6 in a Camaro just makes it a fucking Honda Accord lol, so just remember, if you buy one of these, make sure it's a V8. Save yourself the embarrassment.
