I live in Connecticut, have all my life. I've been to NYC probably 200 times.....it never gets boring. Just went there last week for a day and it still thrilled me.

I live in Massachusetts and have taken many trips to NYC over the last decade or so. Every time I go, I’m seeing something different, staying in different hotels, going with different people. It just never gets old. It’s perfectly fine to be tourists there.

A walking tour of the many different neighborhoods was a joy for me. You could literally spend hours just doing a walking tour of 1 neighborhood.

There are lots of bus tours in LA of Hollywood stars, old & new.

When my kid and I visited London we went to see some of their favorite film locations from Simon Pegg's movies. I was somewhat amazed at how exciting it was to be at the actual location. It adds something extra to rewatches as well.

Loved hearing your perspective! Would have also enjoyed some pictures of the places you mentioned.

Seeing movie locations is totally worth it. If the movies are ones that you love then do it. It will continue to make you happy long after many other famous places are forgotten because it means something to you. But also try to work in sites of many other significances. You'd be surprised how much more interesting the history of the world becomes once you have been there. It'll seem more real and relatable. It's the reason children benefit from travel once they are the right age.

I love that you guys made your own travel review! Having resided in NYC, I think the most shocking thing about London is how quiet it is in comparison. The biggest difference in ambient noise might be is that you really don't hear the Underground on the street like you do the subway. And the absence of the cab horns and that random New Yorker guy that always just seems to be randomly yelling something to someone. It seems like perhaps all of the infrastructure in London is deeper?

when i went to tee 911 memorial, i too felt the somber mood of all the people. we actually randomly met up with another couple while we were sitting down having a coffee who were from england. they lstened to us about our experence that day and they related they felt the same somber mood when princess diana died and the flowers in buckingham....

In a similar vein to the WTC, I also recommend going to Arlington National Cemetery. Maybe there are videos of it you could do. The presidents buried there are obviously the big things for tourists, but so many heroes.

In California, it's also illegal to sound your horn unless it's to prevent an accident or signal some sort of danger. It's not widely enforced, but you can definitely get a ticket for "unnecessary use of horn." I think you have to do it pretty obnoxiously to actually get a ticket - but I'd say a lot of those NYC drivers would fall into that category if they did that here.

I'm from New York and been to NYC a bunch of times. But most people sounding the horn like a maniac are the Indian taxi drivers and people from New Jersey. Most people who live in NYC, while they do have a drivers license, they don't own a car. NYC has taxis, buses, the subway system, so there's not much point in owning a car.

I love the Chrysler Building… I have never been to NYC, but I know that would be a trip to treasure… ❤️🇺🇸💝

"Art deco" is probably my favorite architectural style, and while the Empire State Building is a stunning example, the Chrysler Building has to take first place in my opinion.

(Chrysler) The may be a future opening of an observation deck. There are no tours; only the lobby may be entered by visitors.

I am so glad that you are so interested in the history and the knowledge of the USA. I wish the youth of the USA were also so interested. I wish I was with you to experience all of this. Being a 50 something year old I have some little tid bits I could add. I applaud you for your interest.

I’m a 23 year old New Yorker who is obsessed with American history. I agree that many others don’t care. But like the other people who graduated with me in the history department at my college, there are many who care.

Most New Yorkers are really truly upset if you're standing in the way of where we need to go. Doorways, stairway, etc.

I've lived in relaxed California for over 40 years, but I will also get upset if someone is obliviously standing in the way where I need to go. Just saying. Perhaps I'll give them a few more seconds of impeding my travels before I say something, but I'm not waiting forever. I think New Yorkers might just be quicker to lose their patience with people who are in the way because of the busy and busting nature of life in NYC.

Manhattan is a lot more than just the southern part of the island. Once you get north of The Park it’s almost like a whole other city.

I'm surprised you visited NYC in February, weatherwise it's one of the worst months. Late spring or early fall is the best time to visit. I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip and appreciate the nice comments about it.

NYC, especially Manhattan, constantly changes. Looks like you visited before they made The Vessel, Hudson Yards, and Little Island. If you didn't walk the High Line either, they totally revamped it as well. They placed a nice outdoor food court style area where it overlaps with Chelsea Market.

Just remember that NYC is its own thing. It’s not representative of the rest of the country. Seeing as how you love Jersey so much, it would have been great if you’d got out to South Jersey shore and farms in the summer. The Atlantic is warm, and the fresh grown vegetables and fresh fish from the ocean are great.

Hi guys! Im glad you enjoyed yourselves in NYC, i was born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens until i was 12 and my family moved to New Jersey. Anyway, heres a bit of advise for any travel plans, don't spend alot of time looking up or your wallet/purse, camera and or phone may turn up missing.

I wish you documented your trip. That would have done wonders for your channel.

I always do movie locations when I travel. In NYC I did Home Alone, The Warriors, Ghostbusters, The Royal Tenenbaums, Ninja Turtles, and Scarfare.

My first trip there I went to macys because of the movie miracle on 34th street.

Appreciate the genuine kind words about my city! New York. that is. I've adopted the UK as my 2nd home of sorts. No surprise I adore London. It has stolen my heart. Of course, traveling across the UK has been oh so lovely, as well. Beautiful! I've traveled far and wide and London for me is the just right Porrage. This bed is too hard. That bed is too soft. This other bed, though, is just right! Most people yearn to have one place call home (in their hearts). I have two: New York and London. What a pair!

I have also visited New York City once and also found it to be a great experience. It is an incredible city for sure. So much to see and do. Dis you guys get to see a show in the Broadway District. I thought it was amazing with the amounts of people wandering the streets before and after as well. A hub of activity. It is truly the city that doesn't sleep.

Being in architecture, Chicago is your next stop. And the Midwest has really friendly people too.

The key to American Customer Service is to be there for the customer but don’t linger if your in a shop. Being on top of the customer can get them irritated but so can being unaware that they need help. I’ve been in Customer Service type industries since 1990. It definitely is learned. In a restaurant the service isn’t the person who constantly interrupts asking if you need something but rather is aware of when your glass is low and shows up with a refill.

Tour guides in NYC have to stop and give directions because its their job. they are licensed to do so. also the city you really don't go that fast because there is a strict speed limit within the boroughs but once the highway starts then you can move faster that and standstill traffic everywhere. honestly most people don't drive as the parking is ridiculous and very expensive. the people who have cars only drive like once a year or something and get by on walking, bikes and scooters, or the subway as they are convenient and much quicker than the insane traffic. Usually cars are for business or moving goods around. taxis and ubers are exceptions as they have to get people around fast.

James, as an architectural technician, I'm curious to know what you think of the St. Louis Gateway Arch? I grew up in St. Louis and have been to the top several times. I was 11 on 9/11. I watched it live on TV. I went to NYC in 2003 with my mom and my sister. At the time, ground zero was just a massive hole. It was what is now the museum. We walked to the river to look at the Statue Of Liberty. Between ground zero and the river there was a cobblestone sidewalk. There was still dust in the cracks of stones. That sent chills up my back. I would like to take my 2 daughters to the 9/11 memorial and museum someday when they're old enough to understand and be respectful.

I believe that the white building with the dome that Millie refered to at the 9/11 site is St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. The original church was destroyed when the Twin Towers came down.

I wish you guys could do more travel videos of your own travels. Show us England! Come to the United States and record your adventures! Etc etc

O man I stay away from east coast West Coast. Because I don't like crowd's. Midwest is my cup of tea.

Chicago. Another great city! In the States? Yes. Worldwide? Not quite. I've traveled quite a bit. Hong Kong and Tokyo's urban jungles are just two cities that come to mind which make one's jaw drop.

While it was a good call going to the Natural History Museum (I realize you were only 18, 19 at the time), you need to do The Met and MoMA, as well as The Frick (one of the best small art museums in the world) next time.

I am a die hard NY'er...born and raised in the Bronx...in my own travels, even within my own country, people always commented on how nice i was and how NY'ers were thought to be rude....I think the misconception is that we are not rude but we are tough and wont take shit that the average person would and that just comes from surviving day to day in that New York environment...its not a place for the weak!!

You guys got it. A lot of people say "US has great customer service because of the tips". This isn't true. Clothing shops, gift shops, convenient stores, and like you guys said even salesmen will help you out. None of these workers receive tips. Good customer service is just how people are trained in the US. Companies know the experience makes all the difference in the world whether a customer returns or never wants to come back again. It's why a lot of item return policies are so great in the US too. Companies believe word of mouth and good advertisement is worth more than that $40 crockpot you broke, so they are happy to take it back with no questions asked.
