I am sorry that you lost your cat. As for your comment. You are right. If you watch any of her other videos they are exaggerated too. To be honest, this is the last time I'm going to watch a video from this channel. The videos just annoy me at this point and they all seem like a waste of time. I have/had several Siamese cats and they are a lot like other cats. I think one that stands out is how much they talk but like other cats each one of my Siamese cats all had their own personalities and their own likes and dislikes. I don't even really find this video to be true from my own experience. It's like she's basing everything off of one particular cat and then exaggerating it to death and way too much useless words. She repeats basically her first statement over and over but just using different words and basically the same examples. You have a great day and again I am heartbroken for you because I know how devastating it is to lose your cat or dog. I don't think you ever get completely over it. Lastly, sorry my comment is so long.

Somethimes he meow like a human baby crying but in general he was not so vocal (perhaps because he was not a purebreed). He was an amazing cat and I miss him a lot.

I don't know why they are characterized like that but my cat isn't like that at all. He's noisy but not to an annoying point. He likes cuddles and all but he prefers to have his own space and time by himself. He loves exploring and he doesn't mind you leaving at all. He's not aggressive at all but he doesn't like being forced into something. He's just pushing you away but never intentionally hurt you. He's good with smaller kids too as long as they're gentle, the same with other animals... but he dislikes strangers and loud noises. He doesn't like plays too as soon as he was in his 8th month. He got tons of toys but never played with them anymore coz he enjoys chilling on high place and outside.

My girl is 3, she has been on her own for about 6 hours a day since I got her. She sleeps most of the time (I have cctv) and then we have fun when I get home. She has lots of toys, but prefers to nap until I get home. She is loving, intelligent and of course very talkative. She is an indoor cat but goes out with me outside and runs around, but then will follow me in. She will not let me anywhere without following. She sleeps with me but will get up even if I go to the toilet. That’s what I love about them. No other cat I have owned was this adorable and affectionate or loved people so much. They are a gift to single people, don’t let this theory put you off. All cats are different and some are better or worse alone.

I adopted a Siamese cat without knowing it. When I got him he was only about 4 weeks old on Sept 14 2022. He and his brother were abandoned in a parking lot. His brother is a Burmese and the same age. I didn’t figure out my cat was a Siamese until he was at least two months old when his color and markings came in. I love my cats, they were just what I needed. So far I’ve found that he despises the color black, pink and anything with water in it and he loves belly rubs

I’ve adopted a make neutered Siamese, I think he’s between 10 and 15 years and he’s really sweet natured, calls quite a bit (I don’t really understand his calls). He was very depressed when I first had him, listless and underweight and was sneezing and coughing, this was treated with antibiotics and other meds and finally settled down, the vet thinks he has had cat flu as he frequently gets congested, also he’ll go off his food and get an upset stomach and puke bile, I have effective medication to give him for both, he has no teeth, well just his fangs, so it’s easy to medicate him and he’s a real softie too, now he seems happy and content, he’s very sedentary which I wonder about and not really interested in toys. I’ve found it difficult to find food he likes too! He’s settled in well now and seems to enjoy life even so I feel he is a little bored with just me but I’ve not found any toys he’s really interested in, he occasionally does zoomies around the garden and house which leave him quite breathless, otherwise he just likes being on my lap or nearby……

My Siamese Seal Point, Sasha, is almost 13 years old. She hits a lot of the points you brought up. She is VERY talkative - has about 15 different ‘voices’ she uses for different reasons, and she chirps, makes cooing baby noises to only me, her ‘mama’, and caterwauls when she’s not getting enough attention. And she wants attention virtually 24/7! She is a glutton for it and never seems ‘done’ receiving it. I’ve nicknamed her ‘Velcro kitty’ because often, she just wants to be glued to me all the time. She is also quite the diva! Her box must be pristine all the time or she will pee and poop inappropriately - like, right on my pillow, which, of course, drives me INSANE! If I stop giving her attention so I can use my tablet, she will squeeze herself between it and I…if I keep ignoring her, she will scratch me. She is enormously affectionate, I’d say to a fault, and needy and bossy. A real character. We have two other cats in our home, another Seal Point female (Sasha is an Apple-head, while Meika is a current-style Siamese). Ironically, Mieka rarely talks at all. Our ‘Alpha’ cat is an Abyssinian male who is our only outdoor/indoor kitty. The two Siamese HATE/LOATHE each other. We do not know why. The Abby tolerates both females, although Sasha clearly would like to be in charge of the whole world, not just the other two cats. She won’t even attempt to go outside - she’s terrified of what’s out there, which is good because I don’t have to fight to keep her inside. She can be neurotic…of course I think cats often favor their owners and I certainly have my ‘neurotic’ times! So, poor girl, comes by it honesty. I got terribly I’ll in 2019, and was bed and house-bound until last year. During that miserable time, she transformed into my ‘Nurse’, and although I am doing much better now, she has not relinquished her care-giving role! All in all, she gives me a run for my money, and I would state unequivocally that Siamese are high-maintenance pets but will love you to pieces for their entire lives.

I had a Siamese Cat for 15 years and he was demanding, but I spent lots of time with him and took him outside when I went walking. He followed me everyone in my home, sat on the bathroom vanity and watched me shower. If he was annoyed he would claim my drapes, but I just spent all my time when I came home for work and he would sit beside me when I watched tv and sleep in my bedroom in a chair all night. I felt he was my guard cat. I loved him until he passed. He didn’t mind if I sang to him or carried him all over. Loved attention. And even let me bath him, no problem

So I own two Siamese cats. Both sisters from the same litter. Lucy is extremely talkative and attention seeking. She will make it known when she’s not happy but isn’t aggressive. Lexi is much quieter than Lucy, enjoys being pet but it’s definitely on her own terms. She’ll let you know when she wants pets and when she wants to be left alone. Lexi isn’t aggressive either. Both cats are very well behaved and have never been destructive. I do provide them with plenty of toys and a tall cat tree so I’m sure that helps. Both cats are very energetic, but I wouldn’t say any much more than other cat breeds… I will say they do have tendencies to favor one person in the household but get along with both my boyfriend and I. While I would say some of these stereotypes are true, it also really depends on the cat. I grew up with a grey female tortie who would get aggressive when she wanted food. I’ve known cats who would tear up toilet paper or destroy the house when bored. My Siamese cats have never acted like that luckily

She is I'd say 25 pounds and definitely needs to go on diet even though I feel bad when she cries for food at 3am. She's always been an indoor cat, I tried the leash thing. I have owned Siamese Cats all my life, I'm 74 years old now and own 2 young Siamese girl Kittens, which I totally adore. Let's see, what do they "hate", well that is an interesting question. Typically they are aloff, they don't play well with our other 4 Cats, they will hunt the other older cats in a "Pack" formation, i.e., run at the non-siamese cat from both sides, at the same time, the just before they strike, because they are still kittens, they throw themselves on the floor, beg for mercy, and slink off telling each other what a great attack they just made on this intruder monster cat, which they just tried to destroy. They seem to take immense joy and total pleasure out of attacking the other cats, as I see them looking satisfied as they slink off into the darkness! They both seem to adore me, "when they feel like it", otherwise they are so aloff they will intentionally avoid me, unless or until I give them a treat, which of course they are never grateful for. LOL They do so love destroying the Toilet Paper Roll, it seems to make their day.

My first Siamese was the snartest cat ive ever had. And rhe most stubborn. Very loving. Able to open anything with a handle. Loved water. Rhe best cat ive ever had. Second Siamese was afraid of other cats. Very timid and dumb as a box of rocks. Extremely sweet. All the things discussed are trye to a point..if somewhat exggareted.

My Siamese fit the bill here, if she could attach herself to me with glue, she would have. She hated when I was on the phone, and just scream. ..I had a friend ask if someone was being killed in my house. I said "no, that's just my cat". I did love her though.

I wish my Birman, Mickey, was more dominant. My other cat bullied him and I knew if he just once hit her back, she would stop. I have to be very attentive to this, and she has stopped bullying him, but refuses to befriend him. He is otherwise a really happy guy. Until bedtime. He asks to come in, he asks to go out, he asks to come back in, and wails like a baby until I get up and let him in AGAIN! Lol.

My Siamese does dislike being ignored, and he’s picky about having very fresh water. He can get impatient sometimes, but other times he lays down to wait when someone notices he needs something. He talks more than my ragdoll, but he is not the most vocal cat I have had. He dislikes it when people go outside and he’s left inside. When he was a baby, he somehow escaped from a second-story window and was out all night, but I found him the next morning when I went out and called him. He meowed and came out from under the porch. He is a snuggle bug and loves to have attention. He likes to play with my son and he plays with our ragdoll. He’s a good kitty, except when he starts trying to climb hanging clothes or balance on the hanging bar in the night. He is good at climbing, and he will do odd things like balance on a railing with his tail end on one side and his fronts end on the other, reaching to grab his tail, so he’s wrapped around the railing. I think, though, that my ragdoll is more daring. One time they were both on the narrow side of a two-by-four, and instead of asking him to move, she LEAPT OVER HIM and nailed the landing. He can also escape cat carriers, which worries me.

Unfortunately, my Sasha has never learned how to sheath her claws, so I get scratched A LOT. Sometimes it’s when she’s cuddled up next to me, but then she sees a bug (!) and must attack it! In the process, she runs over my form like I’m just an obstacle to her quest and her claws, always out and SHARP get me every time. Sigh. I wish I knew how to get her to sheath her claws…

So many things here that are untrue it’s hard to begin…I’ve owned Siamese cats for over 30 yrs and not once did any of them become aggressive for any reason. Not a hiss not a swipe…nothing. None of them were outside cats and instead preferred to be inside. I never had one piece of furniture destroyed or ripped up. Are they smart? Absolutely! Do they like to climb? Absolutely! Do they open cupboards? Yes…so you “childproof” cabinets that have things you don’t want explored. Which for me means one under the sink cabinet that holds cleaning supplies. And you don’t put breakables up on shelves without a little museum putty. I have found them to be loyal, sweet, playful, and more intelligent than any dog I’ve ever owned. Without exception.

One thing you never do is hold your hand in front of them like you have big hands and are holding a basket ball. You will be attacked savagely. I loved my little May Lee and she was extremely jealous of the family dog. The daughter of Skippy Dog foods that couldn't handle her. She loved me and our house. My mother was always home and she could come and go as she pleased. She always slept in my bed next to me every night.

#1 is absolutely true and all the others. My Cat is a flame point and he was actually my neighbors. but they have two dogs and sky was not the center of attention. When we moved in about 2 years ago he became friends with my cat and moved into my house and has not left since. He also loves being outside and will fight with other cats (other than boy) for dominance. while he spends most of his time indoors he would be destructive if he is completely indoors. #2 is probably the only one that is not true about sky.

My 16 year old daughter has a Siamese that actually adopted us. He was our neighbors cat and just one day came to our porch and started screaming his head off non stop at all hours of the night and day. Her and I's windows were right on the porch so we couldnt sleep for weeks. We stuck it out for almost a whole month before we caved and let him in. He was exhausted. He came straight to me where I was on the couch and collapsed with his back tucked under my back. Instant trust. We even had other cats in the house and he didnt care. He was ours from that moment. We would send him home to our neighbors and he would do everything to sneak out. Then when they upped their security he started beating up their other cat until finally they were like yeah this isnt working he wants to live with you. And together both of our families chose what was best for him. My daughter used to have all the time in the world for him but now that she has a boyfriend (yikes!) she doesnt have that time anymore. I built him not one... but TWO catios that he can access at any time of the day. He has boxes to play in and all kinds of fuzzy balls and if those arent entertaining he has some automated toys and grandma (me) to swish around his favorite feather octopus thingie because he is an air hunter, not a ground hunter. He has a pure blood Maine Coon named Dean to play with and he has our grumpy old OG Egyptian Mau and she is 8 years old now. He is so vocal and loving and he is smart and can play fetch and figure out complex feeding puzzles. We consider the day he found our front porch to be a blessing from god. Im not even kidding. Sammy has brought our family more love and joy than we could possibly need. He headbutts and purrs and kisses and hangs out with us all day every day and even sleeps with us at night and for his naps. He is the most beautiful lilac point baby boy you could ever imagine with the purest sky blue crystalline eyes and his little black nose is my favorite thing in the woooooooooooorld. He has an overbite that is pretty severe because he was in an accident when he was a kitten. The whole neighborhood pooled together to save his life and nurse him back to health. We ended up moving him all the way across the states with us and he now has a big ol lake with lots of birds, squirrels and fat frogs to watch around the clock. I think he loves his new life. He is very happy. The only fly in his honey is my daughter is a bit too busy for him and now he loves me most. :P :P :P Which Im NOT complaining!!! hahaha Oh and I forgot to mention! We leash trained him as well. It was easy. I just put a harness on him for a day until he got comfy with him and then took him outside! He took right to it. He gets to walk up and down the lake and pounce on this from the tall grass. In fact, all three of my cats are leash trained and it was just as effortless! My son, daughter and I each take one... though, my Mau mostly just sits under the porch swing and watches. She is old and she likes the heat of the concrete on her bones.

Thank you for sharing your story, I loved it, and I can feel the love you have for your kitties from all the way over here across the pond! I8 months ago, I rescued a Mom brindle siamese cat from the shelter. (I've always had rescue cats). She gave birth to 1 kitten - a chocolate point Siamese boy. He's called Larwood and his mom is called Nell. Both get on with my old (12) tortie girl (Margery), in fact, she had a second kittenhood playing with Larwood! Still, he really needed a little brother around his age that he could rough house with, so I adopted a little boy kitten. He's black and white and I called him Stanley. He and Larwood were best friends within about 20 minutes of meeting. They do EVERYTHING together...and it's usually something mischievous! I have never had a Siamese before, and yes, they both follow me everywhere and they love being outside in the orchard climbing trees and jumping in the grass. I love them all more than anything!
