My 09 auto is surprisingly responsive when using the paddle shifters. It’s not as quick shifting as my dsg gli, but it’s pretty dang close. I’m pretty sure the transmission has a tune.

Ive done some research. Apparently you have to reset the transmission every few years. The transmission adapts to how it is used. So I’m guessing because it’s mostly cruising and highway driving, it’s used to 6th gear and doesn’t drive as aggressive. I asked around and they said if you reset the computed for the transmission, it’ll shift like new and will adapt to your driving style over time.

I like your consistency

I've been very disappointed with my c6 auto. its a dog for a car with 400hp. its surprising how slow it feels.

@@Vic-xl7hu yup z51 package. It's a 2008. I mean it's not the slowest car in the world, but it definitely is not as fun as I would expect. A few years ago I had a C5 once again Auto and that was even slower so it is better than that. But I think I've learned my lesson playing with auto on Corvettes lol however the newer ones (c7-c8) are probably much better tho.

@@Vic-xl7hu also I've had some pretty fast cars in the past so maybe my version of quick has been kind of warped. I just keep on trying to make Corvette work for me because you can buy an older one that seems like a good value but then I keep on getting disappointed lol
