actually i meant to say clear wrap that kind of protects it from the elements as much as possible, i thought i read someplace with the matt finish( genesis) they give u a protective kind of paint kit that goes along with that kind of paint, so wasn't sure if there was a certain upkeep to the special paint

It was my #1 selling point.

I agree. They lost me with the half digital cluster. I don’t want to look at that everyday. Especially when it’s available In their home country like you said.

I don't like it, drove the GV70 and the eye tracking hardware just sticks out like it doesn't belong there. It's a box with two red lights that just protrudes from the front cluster. Until they implement that better, I won't complain. I actually prefer this cluster in the NA G70, yup, I said it.

Agreed with the dash and infotainment screen but fake engine noise you can it turn off, people want to hear engine sound though they can' hear it due to the doors were sealed pretty good

I have an issue with the lack of leg room in the back. Small children might be comfortable back there but that’s it. I love the infotainment center exactly where it is located. I like the tablet look on top of the dash.

The leg room has been an issue for many people. I like how the screen looks in their newer designs like the g80, g90, gv70, and gv80.

The other thing I wish they did (I don't think they do this), is to have an option to remote start the car from the keyfob instead of the app. I'm looking at getting a 2022 G70, but really wish they had that feature. Totally agree with the ambient lighting and digital dash though!

You can remote start from the key. Not sure if it's trim specific though.

What are your thoughts regarding the lack of leg room in the back seat? I’ve seen other videos and that happens to be an issue that if addressed could be a game changer for Genesis in my opinion.

I don't think the leg room is a big deal personally, but I have no children and still never had anyone in the back. I do think the leg room holds it back slightly but not really. From my personal experience most buyers of this car have second and third cars so it's not a deal breaker. Thanks for watching! 😁

@@Imleocalm I mean honestly from my experience if you’re a man or a really tall women theres barley any space for the person sitting behind you in almost any sedan. I currently own an Acura TL which are decent size sedans and still very little room for the person behind me.

I just bought a 2023 G70. The only thing I don't like is the phone battery charger does not seem to stay on. Also bought the electric genesis suv for my wife.

I just ordered mine and I'll get it in a few weeks here in Canada, I completely agree with you on two of those points with the cluster, and the ambient lighting, We can get the red interior with almost any colour, so I got mine in black so I won't have the roof problem either 😂 How do ya like the exhaust sound bro?

The dual mode exhaust and sound are perfect for the type of car and performance. However the fake engine noise through the stereo is annoying so I turned it off.

i like the color but iam worried about the upkeep? i do handwash only but how do u handle with bird crap, bugs etc.....anything special u have to do i would get it wrapped would that help?

The sonata limited which is a few thousand cheaper comes fully loaded with tech but probably guessing the g70 was more on performance then tech

Needs a quad tip exhaust & a spoiler that fits should be an automatic for the launch edition wtf ❔

So then begs the question, could you order the full digital gauge cluster from the Korean spec and have it installed by the dealership? I'm sure the cluster wouldn't be too expensive. I could be wrong

@@Imleocalm because I know in the mopar community alot of things are interchangeable. Like plug and play. I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work. The connectors have to be the same to keep the cost down.

I hear ya on the 3D gauge cluster and the interior ambient lighting! If you get a survey from Genesis, make sure you include that. Also, not sure Genesis removed the power trunk lid option for the 2022 model year? Anywho, I think your color combo is my favorite.

Here in Canada on the 3.3TT have rear heated seats

My dad got the digital gauge on his 2022... but he did get the top trim (sport prestige)

I have yet to see that in any sport prestige trims. It’s not even an option on the genesis website. How was he able to get the 3D cluster ?

Yeah, the 3D cluster in not available in the 2022 G70 in the USA regardless of trim. I'd bet his dad actually has the GV70 and not the G70 :)

So glad I was able to get a 2019 G80 sport with the screen completely in the dash! Old school I like my dash to be smooth from left to right!

The other upper trim lines have a power trunk. I have the G70 Launch in grey. Traded in my 2019 G70.

Oh ok! Yeah some features were taken away for the launch edition.

The engine sound system is because they can't have loud noises in some countries so the sound system is there to be like yeah still can hear some noise

Very unfortunate. People just want to selfishly complain about stuff that ruin things for others.

They definitely dropped the ball with the gauge cluster. My wifes 2021 hyundai sonata limited has the full all digital gauges. it was only $31k. not sure why they didnt put it in the "genesis" cars.

They did put it in some of the vehicles. It may be trim specific though. I know the 2022 sport prestige gv70 has it. The 2021 prestige g80 also has it.

remember this car is more like a facelift so don't expect significant changes lol.

Nope. GV70 is near flawless.

This is why I went with the 2021 G70 because that digital cluster was an immense disappointment for me.
