Mr Romero pieto trades on my behalf due to my tight schedules and he is indeed absolutely doing great, my last investment of $10,000 he gave me my ROI of $67,000 in a period of two weeks isn't that amazing.

As a Rolls owner I personally have no problem with the rules. When one spends $600k+ the rules protect the investment. My Rolls very rarely has a mechical issue but when it does it adds up. I have never picked my car up at the dealer where the bill was less than $2500. The maintance program is called Provenance. If you follow the rules 100% the warranty moves with the vehicle even a decade later. One reason Rolls are so expensive is that they are made to outlive the original owner. Some people have big yachts or multiple homes or 5 kids, lol. We all enjoy what we enjoy.

You can upgrade your Rolls anytime you want. I used to sell them and if done right it didn’t even effect the warranty. Most EPA style upgrades, such that effect emissions, are considered illegal and therefore not covered under warranty. Many have multiple sets of wheels. Laws, such as right to repair, also prevent data from being collected outside of data collected when the vehicles fails to function or recap information. This video is pretty bunk.

Literally any of them. Nobody tells me what to do with my property, especially a car manufacturer.

I heard these rules 10 years ago when I was 12. Few years later, around the time when I was 16, these rules were busted as mere myths. It has been 6 years to that. The fact that this video came out an year ago, with the creators believing these rules to be true after they have been debunked years ago surprises me.

They were always a very strict company though. For decades they wouldn't even reveal the top speed, only that it was 'sufficient'. And when Gerry Anderson wanted to simply use a model of one (for Thunderbirds) he got a list of stipulations from RR, including that they could never refer to it as a 'rolls'!

It was so stunning that I cancelled the order for my Bugatti Chiron so I could buy a couple of cheap Rolls Royces

I cannot imagine spending that much money on a Roller even if I was dripping in it. Not my kind of car. My late grand father owned a 1930s Rolls Royce sedan. With a gloriously smooth 6 cylinder engine it was a treat for me when he collected me from boarding school. Today, I suspect a small sedan could outrun it but the old crate would still put many to shame with its level of quality and comfort.

I've had a few over the years. Fun fact: My 1935 Phantom II Dual Cowl Phaeton cost the equivalent of $450,000 in today's money. Today, It's worth more than that now. They depreciate for a while then, go back up in value. Still a good investment. ...If you can afford the maintenance.

The one about having to use Rolls Royce teleservices is wrong you can decline to have it activated so the car won’t send real time data to a dealership when it’s got a problem or due servicing you don’t get RTTI real time traffic info either but you do get RR assistance if you have a paired phone to the car but it won’t send data or location. You also only need to use RR dealerships when it’s under warranty or service plan once they end you can use any garage you want, this from someone who has a relative that owns a Wraith

What you fail to mention is that if a replacement part is needed then your local garage cannot procure that part - Rolls Royce will only sell parts to authorised dealers, and those authorised dealers will not sell them on, they will only provide them as part of a service to fit them! You certainly can't go to Halfords or Europart and get parts for your Rolls Royce!

Rolls Royce Rules are different from other car companies, because Rolls Royce can cut ties w/“client” & refuse to sell them a car in the future. Rolls Royce only makes a few thousand cars per year, & most are reserved before even being made..

I think you have to return to the company if you don't need it anymore so used cars are most likely sold by them

Soon as a cars bought its mine simple as that! I'm a mechanic myself so sourcing parts is OK at trade prices with working in a main dealership (not RR) but can still order the parts in my workshop for them easy enough without it going back to there dept as for alot it's impossible if they don't have a branch near them! And again my cars are never left factory fresh there just plane same as everyone else's so a subtle customise is always First on the list! After the first 3 years of the free service they can get stuffed with connectivity and location status aswell!

Nah y'all are wrong, This car is so sexy that it deserves to be preserved and taken care of by it's creators. If you wanna modify a Stingray however by all means go ahead

If you want to share even more data, buy a Tesla. They even share your data with the state attorney if you caused a crash (i.e. in an illegal race).

I planned to buy one of these until the dealer ran my credit. He was nice though and gave me a ride in their courtesy shuttle to the Hyundai Rental Car Return lot down the street.

The only rule that discourage me from buying a RR is rule #6: they will not sale it on my price range.

SoS locators and mobile phone integration are pretty common features on newer cars. Voiding warranties with aftermarket accessories is also a common practice.

​@@KristofferEkIts so strictly enforced that it just doesn't happen in the USA. The fines are astronomical and it's just not worth it to try to get out of repairing something. The dealers all know what is and isn't allowed. An upgraded turbo can't void your warranty on your power seats, but it can absolutely void the warranty on your engine internals. The manufacturer has to be able to demonstrate that the modification caused the problem, and the benefit of the doubt is almost always given to the consumer.

The Magnussen/Moss act says that a manufacturer cannot require the exclusive use of only THEIR parts and service UNLESS THE SERVICE IS FREE.

Reminds me of when the GT 40 came out you could buy it but you couldn't take it home it had to stay with Ford in there lockup! This happened with a couple of new motors recently think the new ferrari was one others can't remember off top my head but pay all that and have to make arrangements to go pick your car up and take it out for a wee while it had to be back at a certain time at night!

The last one is basically any luxury car dealer

I have yet to purchase a Rolls. Thought as I got older I would possibly pull the trigger. I did look on a few occasions and I will say the dealership experience was alittle much for me. I guess as I didn't come from money I never have forgotten my roots. I never say never when it comes to another car purchase. Humbly, I will say, my wife and I are very fortunate to have been able to purchase an assortment of expensive luxury and exotic cars through the years. Even with raising 7 kids. Just to name a few: BMW Alpina B8 Maybach 600 Bentley Flying Spur S Class just some noteworthy mentions. Not to shabby for a guy who was homeless at 17! I turned that situation into a positive. So, happened to have a very expensive hobby these days, which is car collecting. I mainly lean towards exotics 11 in all (4 at a price north of 1m), corvettes 17 C1's thru C8's, and 14 muscle cars. So the money is not the hold back on a Rolls purchase. It just isn't me or my style. If you met me in a store you would never know I have built a fortune. I just recently gifted my wife last month a 2023 Aston Martin DB 11 630 hp twin-turbo V12 coupe. We saw one while at dinner in Fort Lauderdale and she just loved the look. So, three months later, I had the car. It's a far cry from the cars we drove when we were first got married 39 years ago. I actually like it better than the 2021 Maybach I currently drive. It actually showed up on my birthday. I had it delivered to our home and I surprised her that afternoon. I made sure she realized the connection! Yes, no typo. It's now her daily driver along with her 2022 C8 Corvette LT2 Z51. She really enjoys driving them!!!!! Although I am an exotic guy myself, I am adding a 2024 C8 Z06 to the fleet. It has 175 more hp than my wife's C8, toting a 5.5 liter V8 pushing 670 hp. 0-60 in 2.6 sec. The first American Exotic car in my opinion. My wife does have access to our exotic coral, which we do drive most of them occasionally. A few we even track, which is not often enough, according to her! Is there any rules for a classic Rolls-Royce?

I remember when John Lennon(Beatles founding member!) bought a Rolls Royce Phantom V back in the 1960's and had it repainted to resemble an old style "fairground wagon". Rolls Royce Motors responded by informing Mr. Lennon that as far as they were concerned, he no longer owned a Rolls Royce. All records of construction and sale of the vehicle had been removed from Rolls Royce records and thus he would not be able to purchase geniune replacement parts for the vehicle, if needed. My late father had a Bentley S3, when the marque was still owned by Rolls Royce and when ordering spares, which interesting enough came from Switzerland and when he needed the odd replacement item, he had to supply chassis and engine numbers and relevant details of the vehicle.!

They require the body & engine numbers to supply the correct parts. In the era you are speaking of (the S3--built 1963, 1964, 1965), there were changes every few cars, so they need the details to provide the right items. Providing a year the S3 model would not have been enough.

Asking for a VIN when buying parts at a dealership or even some third party suppliers is common practice today to insure the proper parts are supplied.

I was planning to get one for its safety feature, but now I am looking forward to CyberTruck, seems more sturdy than that white elephant.

Lots of these "rules" are common practice with other cars today. We had stuff like this when we owned a Subaru. It's understandable that if some local shop customizes your car and ruins it, then you can't expect RR to fix it for you under the service aggreement. I had the pleasure of riding in a RR recently and it was pure luxury. I'd own one if I could.

Henry Royce said in the 1950s that all staff must stop and assist any RR or Bentley and assist. Also a broken down one was to be phrased as "failed to proceed".

Some of these rules are technically illegal in America, or at least in some states. For example, it is illegal for a company to require you to only use their approved network for repairs and/or service That said, no Rolls Royce owner cares about maintenance costs or 'being forced' into using an approved shop, unless they literally employed some mechanic full time (like Jay Leno does). The collecting endless data about the car and your usage of it was surprising given the nature of the typical Rolls Royce owner (secretive business deals, killing off the competition, etc.)

Not quite true. You're referring (incorrectly) to the Magnusson Moss Act which requires that services (like oil changes) that MUST be performed at the dealership must also be provided FREE by the dealership. The issue is that there are no aftermarket parts (i.e. oil filters, cabin air filters) that meet manufacturers specifications (at least Rolls Royce specifications). And that means a voided warranty if you use a Fram oil filter.

Most of the rules literally apply to every normal car. App updates? Of course, and every new car has connectivity. SOS system? My 2008 BMW 3 Series has that. Sticking to authorized dealers and not tuning the car to receive manufacturer support? Yeah that’s how car warranty works

Odd rule #5. Odd you say it's a rule yet, I know for a fact that Rolls went to a shop here in RI to help them fix a Phantom. The place had to get special equipment and Rolls had to monitor the repairs. Pretty amazing.

I bought a 1976 silver shadow for $700 many years ago from a storage unit auction. It was in pieces and after many months I did manage to get it running and driving. It was possibly the slowest worst handling car I've ever driven. And I've drove a Yugo! in the end I got $7k for it and was glad to be rid of it!

The most important condition you forgot - the owner will never open the bonnet of the car on a roadside & let passers by know that something is wrong with the car(like you may do for ordinary cars when you sense some problem )

Lol that's so true. I own a Porsche Panamera Turbo which doesn't cost as much as a top model Rolls but it's still very expensive. I ran out of gas once due to being to busy to stop and get fuel. I thought I had a little more time. It was quite embarrassing. I had to push the car out of the road and call my wife for a ride. If I was in my Yukon or my old 96 4Runner I wouldn't have been embarrassed at all.

Luckily these crazy rules only apply to new Rolls-Royces. About a 83 Rolls-Royce got an insane deal on it from a client that passed since I was used to driving the car it was their mom's favorite the family sold it for me insanely cheap couple thousand. Being an older system they're not that complicated My mechanic can fix it and they kept maintenance meticulously on that car so it probably cost me $1,500 a year in maintenance It's a gas hog so he gets me there but man it is a fun car it gets looks people like seeing it I just have fun driving it luckily I don't have to drive it too often as I use other clients cars when I work. But I have a beautiful blue 1983 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit.

@@retroguy9494 I don't know officially but I feel like it's it's low I think it's like 9 or 10 in the city and a little better on the highway maybe 14 or 15. Definitely not a car you drive for fuel economy. But I have another card for that daily driver.

@@minnesota_fats7344 Ah okay. My Cadillac Escalade which is my daily driver gets about 14 MPG on the highway too! Maybe I should have bought and old Rolls! I also have a 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood that gets about 10 MPG but on the open highway it might manage 11 or possibly 12.
