I'm still playing 2K19 in 2020. I just wanted to thank you, Defract, for this tutorial and your face template guide. I've been using it since 2K18 and I must say, it's been a real game changer. After a couple years of practice I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of it. Hopefully in the future 2K decide to make it a little more user friendly for those without a background in image editing. I do enjoy the challenge though, but I can imagine that it's not everyone's cup of tea. Anyway, just wanted to thank you again. Cheers mate.

Excellent video - i'm going to start preparing some face textures soon for 2K19. Another quick tip - if the image you use isn't symmetrical (ie. they have hair covering their forehead on one side), duplicate the clearer side of their face and flip it horizontally, then line it it up. Works well.

This really helps regardless of not having a computer connected to my tv and xbox one.

Another suggestion I have is that if you can't find a good looking front facing image due to the wrestler being one of those types that tends to pull faces, try and find a promo (shot in HD) where the wrestler directly addresses the camera. He/She will have a neutral expression at some point!

Would've loved to see a tutorial on how to remake your fantastic Jericho. I really wanna use it in My Career But it ended up looking slightly off somehow. The head always comes out looking too big. This is why I miss last gen for remaking caws sometimes. Nevetheless keep up the amazing work!

I have a quick question: Do you have any tips for lining up the nostrils on the in-game model? For some reason, I can never seem to get that right. The area that should be shaded is either too light, or the nostrils simply don't line up properly with the model's nose. Any tips here would be greatly appreciated.

Great vid...but the easy way i would improve the face scan...I would use the logos(the squares and the circles) and I would blend it with the face.

I can say without a doubt this works for 2K20 as well, but you will want to experiment with other ideas as well. After realizing what I was doing wrong, I think most of my CAWs designs look a bit better than before.

You need to delete the eyeballs from the final product using the polygonal tool or it will show up even if ever so slightly. Then save as a png for transparency.

They are both great, for example ryeedee´s Marty Scurll is way better than Defract´s , meanwhile Defract´s Cody is way better than Ryeedee´s Cody
