Save! Another thing that bad goalkeepers do is they stand on there line. Don’t do that. Stand 3 or more steps off your line. On a breakaway, you should rush out.

Hey, really enjoyed the video man! I've started playing as a GK in my rec league and I'm thinking about getting a pair of my own gloves since the ones I use right now belong to my coach and are pretty worn. Should I go for a cheaper training pair or invest in a good pair of gloves?

Hey man i just want to ask you if you could give some tips on hoq to be a better goalkeeper on CONCRETE, beacuse my school made a tournement and i will be a GK on my team beacuse there is only 5 of us (Futsball) and i personaly was never a GK before but i do have som experience but i am bad on concrete at saving hard shots and 1v1s.... i ussually play as a CB or a RB so if you could give any tips or suggest me a video you already made please tell me. Concrete is quite dangerous so I don't recommend you dive. Be confident in your ability and learn the basics stuff like how to catch the ball and the 1v1 aspect which you said. Communication, for me, has always been the most important trait of a keeper. Communicating is just as good at stopping shots as putting yourself between the goal and ball is. IF you communicate with your defense correctly then it basically becomes impenetrable as your giving the information needed to stay on top of each threat.

I'll make a video about mistakes in the future but get your confidence up by watching my confidence video about confidence and always give it your all when playing. Ignore and forget about whatever your teammates are saying and focus on your own game. Good luck and enjoy playing in goal because there's a reason why you started

I get hit in the face so much with the ball (dives and breakaways) getting head injuries every practice is there something I can do prevent it

Hit in the face from the ball during a dive is a technique problem and with that you can train to make it better but also watch my tutorials to help with that. During breakaway it can be common to get hit with the ball and firstly ensure your technique is right and if it is then you can tone it down when it comes to 1v1s at training as it's only training and you don't want to injure yourself

Unfortunately for you in today's game the goalkeeper role is the entire thing from distribution, ball control, claiming crosses, sweeping, etc not just shot stopping. Therefore in today's game if you might be a good shot stopper but have you got the other necessary attributes the modern goalkeeper needs?

@@OP1GK i get that but you don't have to good in these areas, look at Sa for wolves, he aint the good at claiming or distributing but he's a good shotstopper end of the day that should always be a keepers primary job. and also personally modern keepers are overrated traditional keepers like ter-stegan, Buffon, Oblak, De Gea will always be better XD
