I’m so late but Ashton’s happiness in this is so pure. It seems funny to have him be so happy during such a melancholy song but at the same time it melts your heart seeing his beautiful smile

michaels voice in this song is so good. you can really hear the raw emotion when he sings “don’t let me drown” and in 2:29 when he says “alive”. i think his voice is too underrated and this proves that his voice is amazing

People need to appreciate how good Calum is at portraying emotion when he sings. He shines so much in sad songs because of his abilities when he sings. Look up broken home live. His vocals are outstanding and will leave you speechless. Keep in mind, I love every member so much and I’d die for any of them. Luke tends to fall a little short when it comes to sad songs. Don’t get me wrong, his vocals are amazing and kill me from the inside. But he just doesn’t show the sadness or pain in songs like lie to me very well. Michael is better at it, especially in songs like jet black heart. But I think Calum is still the best at it

Ok so i'm a massive BMTH fan, i love both their oldest and newest music, and i must say this is one of the only covers that lives up to the original. I think this song has so much emotion to it and they captured it amazingly, especially the guy on the far left ( I'm not very familiar with this band but i think he's calum? dark hair? sorry please don't kill me) who has a beautiful voice and he really makes this cover what it is in my opinion. Personally I like both of the song, the original one is stronger and this one is so soft and sad in many moments. I think Michael gave a lot of passion in this song, you can tell by the voice. I really like this, good job

Yeah it's good it just pissed me off cause nothing will beat bmth and this is THEIR song and a lot of the 5sosfam like don't understand how important this song is and how important it is to oli because it's about his struggle and this version just doesn't have the meaning and the emotion and the rawness that the original does yaknow?? Regardless it's a decent cover and it might get some 5sos fans into bmth TRY THEM THEYRE AWESOME!!! :)))

Ashton’s going hard on that shaker and is just so happy doing it, this is such a melancholic song and he’s in the corner just shaking away. ❤😂

I feel like when BMTH sang it, they sounded like they were calling for help and were tryna fight. But when 5sos sang it they sound like they've already given up and it's just added so much emotion into both versions Much love for both bands ❤️

5sos introduced me to some great artists and bands, that I might have missed. I can't thank them enough for this!

why is that if 5sos cover it differently that they say they ruined the song but like if they did it the same i guarantee there would be comments saying "omg they are copying". also why tf are there comments saying "original is better" it's a cover for god's sake. i love both versions and both bands. there is no need to compare the two. the bands are completely different generes so of course it's going to be different.
