Im using a trick to get the full $400 resort credit on one stay next weekend. I booked the resort stay last month, in june, and had to put a deposit down. That triggered the $200 credit for the first half of the year. When i check out next weekend, that will trigger the 2nd half of the year resort credit. Theres currently two deals for hiltons 1) if you spend $400 on a vegas hotel, you get $90 back and 2) if you spend over $300 at a hilton, you get $60 back. So one stay activates $550 worth of credits. Thats the annual fee covered without adding airline credits or FNA. All in one stay

You may have hit on an excellent way to use two $200 bi-annual credit for two stays in the same semi-annual period, by pre-paying for one stay in the previous semi-annual period. ( I was able to do something similar with my Surpass card and the $50 Hilton quarterly credit, using an advance purchase in a previous quarter). I wonder if this works for others-

There’s not much value outside of that for me since I am globalist and use the confirmed suites when I travel with family and they offer a full breakfast at hotels without lounges. Between the lack of confirmable upgrade instruments and hiltons playing games with upgrades it’s just not ideal if you are traveling as a family with a couple of kids. I’m keep in my Hilton Honors Business card for the Hilton Honors Gold status. Once I have two ppl on my reservation, I’m able to get $50/day, and that’s real helpful and a real money saver. National Emerald Executive Club status is actually pretty darn good from what I’ve seen. I’ll be testing this out this summer. Hertz President circle is okay, so I’m excited to see how this compares. I think the Surpass for the everyday categories at 6x, 4x, and 3x is a great way to rack up Hilton points in a hurry to redeem for those exact kinds of properties and the $50.00 gift card trick helps to slash off cash price stays. If you are willing to put $15k spend on the card yearly, you can get the free night credit to then use at a higher end property/resort.
