5 Reasons Why I Love The Audi RS3

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Hey guys so we've owned this Audi RS3 for a while now and I'm really getting used to it more and more.
so I thought I'd have a think about what I love about it and maybe a few things that I don't.

    Hey mate love the video, have my 2017 for a year now and you are so right. The sound is perfect. Looking like a normal a3 with a few additional things is the reason why I got it. The new models look great and Is a statement, I just love how low key the earlier models are. Would love to know what you done to the engine and what tune you went with. Just have a XForce Exhaust but looking to unlock its potential. Congrats on the buy and hope you enjoy the pocket rocket 💪💪

    Thanks mate completely agree with you there. So it has an eventuri 4" intake, unitronic ecu/tcu tune and eibach lowering springs. That's it so far and after talking to 999 here in Brisbane the best option sounded like a retune using their software and a flex fuel kit which will make a bit more power for a pretty decent price per hp gained

    What are your wheel specs? I have a 18' TT RS and I really love the way they look on your car. Tough to find good wheels that can make it over that front caliper haha

    From memory they're 19x8+35 but I'll have to confirm once Letisha get home so i can go out and double check. The wheels came on the car so we didn't choose the specs

    @JacksonStrain Yeah, the car really corners well and even gets the rear end out in corners, especially in dynamic mode! What a blast, and I love the wide front fenders on the car because it looks really aggressive! Love the last generation as well because the 5 cylinder is the star of the show!! Nice spec you have, by the way!

    I like them, however from everything i hear on the net is that due to engine placement over the front wheel, it develops understeering around the track and I'd look more at an M2 comp if i was going to replace the evo

  • @JacksonStrain

    @JacksonStrain

    25 күн бұрын

    That was mainly mentioned about the pre face lift with the previous engine. The 2017+ models have the daza engine which is lighter and they also made efforts to combat the understreer. It's definitely no M2 Comp but it seems to handle pretty well just don't compare it to your Evo as it's not really designed to be an out handling machine like it

    Thanks mate, I'm actually not sure as the previous owner had it done. It's super dark though and actually hard to see out at night so I'd prefer slightly lighter to be honest

    I still have evo and when looking at options similar to the evo only the rs3 come up. But how is the reliability of an audi compared to a jdm car? Honestly euro cars are not that reliable and more expensive to maintain. Do you prefer your evo over the audi?

  • @JacksonStrain

    @JacksonStrain

    25 күн бұрын

    I can't really comment in reliability yet as we just got it but from all the RS3 owners we've spoken to since buying it none have had any issues and just have been servicing them. Yes maintenance is more expensive eg brakes far more than an Evo but ours had just been done so will be a while. I really like both in corners I prefer the Evo so if I'm going up the mountains I choose the Evo but if going up the coast on motorways the RS3 both are a lot of fun and I enjoy driving them both for sure

  • @JacksonStrain

    @JacksonStrain

    Yeah the RS3 is smaller than I had realised but still big enough to comfortably seat 4. But the RS3 is definitely a more usable size that wouldn't really feel too crammed inside for passengers

    The 8V looking pretty dated compared to the new 3 shape. Still a baller car/spec, don't get me wrong. Would preference a downpipe and retune with galano or tarmac engineering then flex fuel.

  • @JacksonStrain

    @JacksonStrain

    25 күн бұрын

    I'm pretty slow with new models growing on me and the 8Y is still not there for me yet haha.. Yeah it's just if we go the downpipe route we'd need intercooler and inlet plus we'd still want the flex fuel so would end up costing a fair bit where as I think the 310kw on E85 for only a few k is a bargain for $ spent per hp. But yeah still weighing up what to do as she may just decide to do new wheels first before changing tunes

  • @CorleoneFam07

    @CorleoneFam07

    Have to disagree, the 8Y looks a little too "gimmicky" for lack of better words, and also suffers from Audi's over-styling of late. The large blacked out front plastic looking grille, the fake honeycomb grille in the lower part of the rear bumper, and other design elements just gives the 8Y an overall cheap look. It's all subjective I guess, however I think this 8V face-lift is the pinnacle in terms of looks.

    @@CorleoneFam07Have to agree, there's nothing timeless about a 8y, also the interior is way cheaper feeling. It's a similar story with the mk7.5 vs mk8 golf, the new one just feels so much cheaper and looks so much worse. 8V and mk7/7.5 era is peak VW imo
